BNHA: Legacy Rising – Chapter Nine

Part 1 – New Year, New Fire

Snow still kissed the edges of the campus as students returned from winter break, their energy high with anticipation. The dorms buzzed with excitement—new goals, new chances, and most importantly… new hero costumes.

Inside the design lab, holograms flickered as students reviewed and finalized their custom outfits. Haruto Kaminari grinned as electricity crackled down his sleeves. Airi adjusted the star-patterned sleeves of her galactic suit while giving Katsuo a playful bump.

> “You better not go full drama prince with yours,” Airi teased.

Katsuo smirked, glancing at his own design—a sleek blend of dark navy and glacier silver, patterned with stylized flame motifs and reinforced arm bracers to withstand both Cold Cremation and the pressure of One for All.

> “No drama,” he said. “Just power.”

Meanwhile, at the heart of Deku’s Hero Agency, the real drama was unfolding quietly.

Dabi—now officially going by Mr. Burn—stood in the mirror of the locker room, slowly adjusting a matte-black mask that covered the lower half of his face and jawline, crafted with reinforced mesh and heat-resistant tech. The high collar of his uniform swept up to hide the worst of the grafted scarring, and deep blue gloves covered his hands. The only thing left visible were his burning turquoise eyes.

> “This doesn’t make me a hero,” he muttered.

Behind him, Deku leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, smiling just enough.

> “No. But how you act from here on out does.”

And strangely… people responded.

Online, Mr. Burn began trending after footage of him rescuing a group of civilians in a firetrap surfaced—his silhouette emerging through flames like a ghost in blue fire, his voice calm and clipped.

> “Please remain calm. You’re safe.”

No one knew it was Dabi. Not yet. And that made it easier.

At U.A., news reached Katsuo and the others.

> “Yo, did you see this Mr. Burn guy?” Haruto pointed at his phone during lunch. “Total badass.”

Katsuo grinned into his drink.

> “Yeah. He’s got good teachers.”

The sun rose sluggishly over U.A., casting long winter shadows as the students filed into the exam wing—shoulders tense, pencils sharpened, brains racing.

> “Written portion?” Haruto groaned, slumping in his seat. “Why can’t they test us with explosions?”

Airi rolled her eyes.

> “Because being a hero isn’t just about flash and fists. It’s strategy, law, rescue ops, and ethics. Gotta know the rules to break 'em properly.”

Katsuo sat with his arms folded, eyes scanning the test booklet. His concentration was unshakable today—probably because his mind was half on the mission happening outside these walls.

Because while the students sweated over regulations and scenario breakdowns, Mr. Burn was suiting up.

---

At Deku’s Agency HQ, the mood was far heavier.

A digital board displayed flickering images of targets: underground hideouts, suspected of the League of Fire, and surveillance shots of their symbol—a burning phoenix curled into a spiral.

Deku tapped the board, his tone professional but tight.

> “Our intel tracked movement in the Wakatake District. Several ‘Cinders’—believers in Dabi’s past actions—are gathering for recruitment. We go in quietly, we come out clean.”

Mr. Burn nodded once, adjusting his mask. His new hero license still felt strange in his pocket, like borrowed hope.

> “And if they recognize me?”

Deku paused, eyes flicking to him.

> “Then you show them who you are now. Not who you were.”

---

The mission began just after sundown. Deku and Mr. Burn moved through the skeletal ruins of an abandoned shopping complex, each step calculated, every shadow a potential threat.

Inside, they found the remnants of a fiery sermon—a self-proclaimed prophet in a charred robe, preaching about The Ember King’s Return.

> “He will light the world anew!” the man shouted. “We are Cinders—born to burn the rot of society!”

Then came the flashbang. Smoke. Fire.

And Mr. Burn, walking through it with cold, blue flames in his hands—not to destroy, but to contain.

He disabled three attackers before they could draw breath. Controlled burns danced across the floor, forcing their retreat. Deku zipped in with Black Whip, cuffs flying, coordination like clockwork.

When the last one fell, moaning into the ash, Mr. Burn stood still—smoke swirling around him, heart pounding.

> “This time,” he whispered, “I will fight to stop the fire.”

---

Back at U.A., Katsuo’s phone buzzed quietly in his pocket—just a single message from Deku:

> Mission cleared. Mr. Burn’s debut was a success. You’d be proud.

Katsuo smiled to himself, even as the test supervisor shouted,

> “Eyes on your own paper, Todoroki!”

The steel doors slid open with a hydraulic hiss, revealing the sprawling, multi-level maze: towering walls, shifting floors, holographic traps, and hidden zones. A concrete jungle designed not to be conquered, but survived.

> “Welcome to your Provisional Hero License Practical Exam,” Cementoss announced over the intercom. “You’ll enter in pairs. Your objective is simple: escape the maze while avoiding capture by your assigned Pro Hero.”

The students murmured among themselves—nerves and excitement mixing.

Katsuo glanced at Airi beside him.

> “We’ve got this. Just like training.”

She smirked.

> “Let’s make it look easy.”

---

PAIR ONE: Airi Midoriya & Katsuo Todoroki

Pro Hero Opponent: Mirko

The moment they stepped into the labyrinth, Mirko launched out of the shadows—feral speed, no mercy.

> “Run faster, kids! Or I’m gonna catch you!”

Airi used her gravity fields to launch them upward while Katsuo iced over a descending wall, causing it to collapse and block her path.

> “Smart!” Mirko yelled, bounding around it.

Their teamwork was fluid—her aerial finesse and his controlled Cold Cremation forcing openings. But Mirko was relentless. When it seemed like she had them pinned—Katsuo used Float, rising out of her reach with Airi riding his gravity cushion.

Together, they soared through the exit gate, alarms blaring in victory.

---

PAIR TWO: Riku Mineta & Miko Asui

Pro Hero Opponent: Snipe

Dodging precision shots and laying down combo traps with Miko’s camo and Riku’s binding speech bubbles, the two made a wild escape—barely scraping through.

---

PAIR THREE: Naoko Ashido & Haruto Kaminari

Pro Hero Opponent: Hawks

They didn’t win.

But they made him sweat.

---

Meanwhile…

Location: Shizuoka Outskirts – Abandoned Onsen

Deku and Dabi (Mr. Burn) crept through the silent, scorched remains of a League of Fire safehouse.

Dabi touched the singed ground, frowning.

> “They were here. Hours ago.”

Deku scanned a broken device—a burned communicator.

> “Look at this. The signal’s encrypted but familiar. Jericho mentioned this signature—one of their lieutenants: Inferna Vox.”

> “The fanatic…” Dabi muttered. “She used to chant my name like I was some damned god of flame.”

> “And now,” Deku said grimly, “she wants your son.”

U.A. Provisional Maze – Training Zone Theta

> “Ready?” Miko glanced at Riku, her tone calm, amphibian eyes narrowing as her fingers twitched in anticipation.

> “Born ready,” Riku grinned, rolling a sticky purple orb between his fingers. “Let’s make this gooey.”

Their pro hero opponent: Edgeshot. Fast, stealthy, and lethal with pinpoint accuracy.

The second the buzzer rang, the air shimmered.

Edgeshot blitzed through the maze like a blade of wind—almost invisible.

Miko launched her tongue outward, yanking Riku up to the ceiling before a slicing edge zipped beneath them.

> “He’s trying to separate us!”

Riku launched his Pop Orbs, custom-designed with his dad’s tech and some creative upgrades—these ones expanded and created massive bubble-like sticky walls that disrupted the narrow maze paths.

> “Time to trap a ninja.”

Edgeshot reappeared for a heartbeat—only for his leg to get caught mid-shift by a slick strand of hyper-adhesive. Miko launched herself from the ceiling, using her momentum to spin-kick him—but he morphed into a paper-thin form, slipping free just before impact.

> “Not bad,” he itted, reappearing behind them. “But can you adapt under pressure?”

Riku dropped a smoke capsule, and Miko guided them using echolocation she’d practiced from her dad’s training.

> “Right, then sharp left, then tongue-swinging us up!” she whispered.

Working in perfect harmony, they darted through the shadows. Riku sealed off the rear with orb traps, and Miko pulled them toward the escape hatch.

> “Escape achieved. Mission complete,” the automated system chimed.

The lights came up. They’d done it.

Edgeshot stood beside them, arms crossed, but a faint smile visible.

> “Creative. Coordinated. You both ed.”

Miko offered a small nod, while Riku pumped his fist.

> “Yeeeeah! Who said sticky was lame now?!”

---

Meanwhile – Deku’s Agency, Operations Room

> “What do you make of her words?” Deku asked, pulling up the League of Fire operative’s interrogation file.

Dabi leaned forward, fingers steepled.

> “She mentioned a ‘Purifier.’ A new leader. Someone who believes fire needs to burn everything that ‘tainted’ its legacy—heroes, hybrids, even me.”

Deku’s expression darkened.

> “They’re not just cultists… They’re preparing for war.”

> “Then we’ll be ready,” Dabi growled, voice like cold flame. “And we’ll burn it down from the inside.”

U.A. Provisional Maze – Sector Violet

It was time for the next team: Shin Aoyama, aka Prism Phantom, and Saya Sero, aka Reverb—the offspring of Aoyama and Sero respectively.

> “Darling,” Shin flicked his perfectly styled cape. “Ready to dazzle and dodge?”

> “Just don’t sparkle in my eyes this time,” Saya smirked, adjusting her sleek gauntlets. “We’ve got a license to earn.”

Their opponent? The Tape Hero: Cellophane—Hanta Sero himself, coming out of semi-retirement for this one mission. His skill with mobility, entrapment, and evasion made him a perfect end-level boss for this phase.

The maze lit up in shifting colors as Shin’s Quirk refracted light, creating illusionary copies of himself in dazzling arrays. Prism Phantom could not only bend light but convert it into hard-light weapons and decoys. Saya, meanwhile, used Reverb—an upgraded version of her father’s Tape that resonated with kinetic shockwaves to blast and bounce off surfaces like a sonic slingshot.

> “He’s fast,” Shin warned, sliding across a mirror-finished wall. “But not fabulous.”

> “You focus on dazzle—I'll focus on direction!”

Cellophane zipped between beams, tape firing like spider-silk, but Saya ricocheted herself between the walls with powerful echo bursts, leaving shockwave markers behind. Shin flooded the arena with bright fractal illusions, forcing Sero to switch to thermal vision.

But Shin expected that.

> “Time for the real show.”

He released a flashburst, blinding all senses except for the trail of pulsing vibrations Saya had left behind. With Shin navigating by echo-light and Saya by her own seismic rhythm, the two created a crisscross ambush of light and sound.

Sero barely dodged the web of traps when—

Snap. Boom.

A focused reverb-shot exploded behind him, sending him stumbling into a prism trap that locked his movement for five seconds.

> “Time’s up,” Shin grinned, his cape sparkling triumphantly as the escape door unlocked.

> “You two ,” Sero coughed, rubbing his neck. “That was straight-up pro-level coordination.”

> “It’s what happens when style meets structure,” Shin bowed.

> “And sonic tape,” Saya added, giving a casual peace sign.

---

Meanwhile – Deku’s Agency, Intelligence Briefing Room

> “We decrypted the last recording,” Deku said, fingers tapping the table. “Their target isn’t just symbolic. They’re after a dormant stockpile… something Endeavor hid long ago.”

Dabi’s shoulders tensed.

> “Are you talking about his old Quirk research vault?”

> “Exactly,” Deku nodded grimly. “And it’s not just theories in there—it’s raw Quirk data. Replication trials. All of it.”

A digital map expanded. The League of Fire was splitting into cells, forming a heat-map of movements around Japan.

> “They’re planning a coordinated strike,” Dabi muttered. “Not just for vengeance… but to steal Quirk science they can use to enhance themselves.”

> “And the target… is U.A.”

U.A. High – Midday

The school sirens howled.

At first, the tremors were subtle—barely-there flickers of heat through the reinforced walls of the provisional exam course. Then came the screams. The sky above the artificial training dome turned a sickly orange as something ripped through the protective barrier.

> “Code Crimson! All students evacuate or engage per hero protocol!”

The League of Fire had arrived.

---

North Wing – Maze Sector

Shika Aizawa and Ren Sato were the first to engage, intercepting lower-tier villains attempting to sneak through the back halls. Shika’s Quirk, Drowsedown, sedates three attackers with a yawn and a blink. Ren, the Vital Surge powerhouse, smashed through reinforced pillars to block their exit path.

But this wasn’t the full force.

---

Main Courtyard – The Arrival

A fiery pillar dropped from the sky like a meteor, shaking the earth.

Standing in the impact crater was a figure with sun-like eyes, scorched armor, and fire erupting from his body in steady, solar pulses. His flames weren’t like Dabi’s eerie blue or Endeavor’s concentrated red—they burned blinding orange, flickering violently like a dying star at the brink of collapse.

> “They call me Solaris. The First Flame.”

“We came to cleanse the weak… and take back what belongs to the fire.”

The students couldn’t even move before he unleashed a wave of pressure that seared the ground in a perfect circle.

---

Katsuo vs. Solaris

> “You’re not laying a finger on anyone else,” Katsuo stepped forward, arms smoking, eyes glowing with emerald embers. “You want a flame? I’ll show you what Cold Cremation looks like.”

Solaris smiled.

> “Then burn with me, heir of the failed Todoroki line.”

The clash was instant.

Katsuo’s Cold Cremation spiraled out in an icy teal blaze, countering the massive heatwaves erupting from Solaris’ core. Every time Katsuo landed a blow, Solaris’ fire flared brighter—until he absorbed Katsuo’s cold flame and redirected it like molten lava.

> “He’s adapting,” Katsuo muttered, panting. “No… he’s evolving with every hit…”

The battle moved skyward. Katsuo activated Float, blasting upward to get the advantage—but Solaris met him mid-air with a flaming meteor punch that cracked the sky.

> “Fall, boy!”

Katsuo was sent crashing into the courtyard below, his armor shattered, One for All flickering like a candle in a storm.

---

Final Moments

As Solaris prepared his final attack, a second sun forming in his hands, Katsuo gritted his teeth. His vision was dimming, but he stood up again—blood dripping, cloak in tatters.

> “I’m not... losing to someone who burns people for fun. My fire’s for saving.”

The flames collided in a blinding burst—

BNHA: Legacy Rising – Chapter Ten

Part 1 – Overclocked Inferno

---

Location: Skyway Over Mustafa – Deku & Dabi

The wind howled as Deku flew forward in bursts of controlled speed, his green lightning crackling violently. Behind him, Dabi—now masked as Mr. Burn—surged through the air on a trail of blue fire, his eyes wide with panic.

> "He's not ready for this," Dabi muttered, voice tight.

> "He’s stronger than we ever imagined," Deku replied. "But that thing he’s fighting... I can feel the heat from here."

Their destination glowed like a second sun on the horizon—U.A. High ablaze in orange firelight.

---

Location: U.A. Courtyard – Katsuo vs. Solaris

The battle was no longer just a fight—it was a storm of chaos.

Katsuo’s armor was scorched, one eye swollen shut, arms twitching from overuse. Float kept him aloft only barely, and Blackwhip dances from his back like wild tendrils of electricity and willpower.

Below him, Solaris howled.

The villain’s body was cracking with molten veins, skin peeling under the intensity of his own fire. The Quirk-Enhancing Drug had done its job—too well. He was losing control, mutating into something unstable. A living sun gone nova.

> “I am fire incarnate!” Solaris bellowed. “You can’t stop a star!”

> “You’re not a star,” Katsuo painted, teeth clenched. “You’re a bomb about to take everyone with you.”

His instincts screamed that he had seconds left. Everyone behind him—Airi, Natsuo, the whole class—wouldn’t survive if this blast hit.

Katsuo clenched both fists and let go.

His hair blew back as green lightning erupted from every limb. One For All surged to 100%.

Black Whip lashed outward, grabbing pillars and debris to brace himself mid-air.

Cold fire erupted from his core in a spiraling cyclone—Cold Cremation twisting like a storm around his body.

He launched forward—faster than a bullet, surrounded by green, teal, and indigo light—Float active, momentum controlled only by sheer will.

> BOOM!

Their fists met.

Solaris’ flame detonated—but was pulled inward by Blackwhip. Katsuo countered, his cold flames wrapping around the blast and compressing it.

For a split second, the air turned silent.

Then—Katsuo roared.

> “I won’t let you hurt anyone else!”

With a final push, he blasted Solaris skyward in a controlled, burning spiral, launching him clear of the school grounds—right into the barrier dome where Dabi and Deku landed just in time to intercept the unconscious villain as he fell like a charred comet.

---

Aftermath

Katsuo floated downward, twitching, smoke rising from his gloves and boots. He collapsed to his knees the second he hit solid ground. His classmates ran toward him—but Airi reached him first.

> "You idiot," she whispered, wrapping her arms around him. "You absolute, glorious idiot."

Deku and Dabi started from a distance. The fire was out. But something else had ignited—

Katsuo had just become a real hero.

U.A. Courtyard – Moments After Solaris Falls

Smoke curled off the cracked pavement. Emergency sirens blared in the distance. Katsuo’s breath came in ragged gasps, blood trailing from his temple and nose. His legs buckled—but he didn’t fall. Not yet.

> “I can still go,” he muttered, staggering toward the next skirmish forming on the south lawn. “There’s more out there. We can’t let them—”

A firm hand grabbed his shoulder.

Haruto Kaminari, electricity sparking around his gauntlets, stood beside him.

> “That was enough, Katsuo,” he said softly, eyes serious for once. “You did your part. Now let us do ours.”

Airi Midoriya stepped forward, pink nebula-light flickering through her gloves as her eyes met his.

> “We’re not gonna let you burn yourself out again. We train for this. Together. You taught us that.”

Katsuo looked around.

Sora Hagakure. Natsuo Todoroki. Miko Asui. Riku Mineta. Naoko Ashido. Ren Sato. Shin Aoyama.

All ready. All fired up.

He let out a shaky exhale and dropped to a seated crouch beside the steps, clutching his ribs.

> “Don’t die, okay?” he said with a crooked smile.

> “Only if you promise not to hero-charge another star,” Natsuo smirked, ice-caked hands tightening his sleeves.

---

The New Frontline – Class 1-B Strikes Back

Ren Sato moved first, his Bulk Surge Quirk swelling his muscles as he shoulder-charged through a villain wielding liquid magma. He planted his feet and slammed the enemy into the wall with a seismic boom.

Naoko Ashido followed up, her Weld-Burst Armor gleaming as she reshaped metal debris into bladed extensions and launched herself into the fray. Sparks flew.

> “Let’s make this count!”

Miko Asui bounded over a wall, camouflaging midair as she used her amphibious speed to disorient a pair of invaders sneaking toward the wing.

> “Ribbit—get out of our school.”

Sora Hagakure flickered into view only long enough to plant a shimmering trap zone—her Lightveil Quirk bending visibility around key points of the field, making enemies hallucinate open spaces or teammates turning on them.

> “Time to confuse and conquer.”

Riku Mineta, surprisingly tactical, launched sticky speech bubbles like exploding ink bombs, each one laced with pop-art distractions and binding sludge.

> “Welcome to the comic of pain, jerks!”

---

Back With Katsuo

Katsuo watched, breathing through grit teeth, eyes glassy with awe. He felt the warmth of pride bloom in his chest—even through the pain. His classmates weren’t just ri…

They were shining.

Dabi appeared beside him, silently dropping a cold pack and crouching low.

> “They’re good kids,” Dabi muttered, keeping his voice low.

> “They’re the best,” Katsuo whispered. “And they’re gonna win this.”

---

Cut to: The League of Fire Reinforcements Arriving

The League wasn’t done yet.

From the edge of the campus, new figures approached. Heavily cloaked. Branded with seared insignias of fire and smoke.

One in particular removed her hood—revealing searing white flames licking off her scalp and blazing tattoos across her skin.

> “The Cinder Apostles have arrived.”

U.A. – Battlefield Perimeter

The courtyard was in chaos—heroes holding the line, students stepping up, villains surging through the breach. But then…

Everything stopped.

A strange pressure filled the air, like the world itself held its breath.

From the smoke walked a man. Slender. Tall. Black jacket streaked in red. Hands in his pockets like he didn’t even feel the battle.

His skin—charcoal-gray. His hair—white, tinged with the faintest lavender-blue at the tips.

And his eyes—a burning cyan, just like Dabi’s.

> “Yo,” he said, voice eerily calm. “Been a long time since I walked the streets of U.A.”

Katsuo’s blood ran cold as he stood—bruised, shaking—but staring.

> “Who... who the hell are you?”

The man tilted his head, lips curling in a smile that was too familiar.

> “Name’s Ashen. But technically… I guess I’m your uncle.”

Gasps went up around the courtyard. Even Dabi, now at Katsuo’s side, froze in place.

> “No…” Dabi murmured. “You’re the clone. The one he took from me. From my DNA.”

Ashen raised his arms, flames of dark blue and violet igniting around him—but they didn’t crackle like Dabi’s. They were smooth. Controlled. A perfect blend of temperature control and combustion manipulation. A refined Cremation.

> “Born from the scraps of a broken villain. Trained to burn the world clean. You’re damn right.”

He turned his eyes on Katsuo.

> “You inherited his guilt. But I… I inherited his potential. And I’m here to finish what he couldn’t.”

Dabi stepped forward. His own flames roared to life around his fists.

> “You’re not me. You’re not my legacy. And you’re sure as hell not touching my son.”

---

Katsuo – Caught Between Bloodlines

Katsuo’s breath hitched as the realization sank in.

This wasn’t just a clone.

This was a mirror.

A distorted echo of everything his dad could’ve been—and everything he’d tried not to become.

> “You’re wrong,” Katsuo growled, his own Cold Cremation starting to spark around his arms. “You’re not his legacy. I am.”

> “We’ll see, little ember,” Ashen hissed, grinning wide. “Let’s see if you burn hotter than me.”

---

Back at the School

The students, now regrouping and prepping for round two, could feel the energy shift.

> “Did… did anyone else feel that chill just now?” Ren asked.

> “No,” Airi said quietly, staring into the smoke. “That wasn’t a chill. That was fire.”

Location: U.A. Battlefield – Inner Courtyard

The wind howled through the cracked courtyard. Villains pulled back instinctively—like animals sensing a predator. Even the League of Fire halted, eyes wide as Ashen raised his hand.

> “What’s wrong?” Ashen said with a smirk. “You all look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

Dabi’s flames flickered. His teeth grit.

> “You shouldn’t exist.”

> “Neither should you,” Ashen fired back. “But here we are. Mirror images… one of failure, one of perfection.”

Ashen extended his hand—and the flames that erupted weren’t just Cremation. They crackled with distortion—a swirling aura of multiple Quirks, bending gravity around him, warping the air.

Katsuo felt it immediately.

It wasn’t just fire.

> “W–Wait… those flames—" he gasped. “That’s not just your Quirk…”

Ashen smiled.

> “No. It's not. Guess who I met after your little final war?”

He opened his jacket—and on his chest, burned into his skin, was a grotesque seal of intertwining flesh and energy, pulsing with dark power.

> “The original All For One couldn’t transfer it again after what Tomura did. But what’s a little backup plan between monsters?”

Deku, arriving behind the barricade with the wind still rushing past his boots, froze.

> “That’s not possible,” he whispered.

> “It wasn’t supposed to be,” Ashen laughed. “But he left a piece behind… a final member. One that needed the right vessel.”

He gestured at his own body, perfect and stitched together with twisted science.

> “Not just a clone. Not just Dabi’s fire. I’m the next All For One. And I’m going to reignite the world in our flame.”

---

Katsuo – Heart Raging, Mind Reeling

Katsuo stumbled back, eyes wide, shaking.

> “No… you’re lying. One For All destroyed him. Deku beat him—!”

Ashen’s smirk widened as he stepped forward, the flames twisting around him now mixing with black tendrils, like a mockery of Deku’s own Black Whip.

> “You’re clinging to hope. But I am what’s left when hope burns out.”

---

Deku – Realization

Deku’s voice cut through the tension, steady despite his rising dread.

> “So that’s what this is. A final contingency. The true fusion… of legacy and madness.”

He glanced at Katsuo—then at Dabi, who hadn’t moved.

> “We’re not just fighting a fire cult anymore. We’re fighting a reborn era of All For One.”

Dabi’s hands tightened into fists. He stepped beside his son.

> “Then let’s put it out. Together.”

Location: U.A. – Courtyard Warzone

The ground scorched under Ashen’s boots as he stepped forward. Every inch of him radiated heat, pressure, and something worse—presence. Not just his own, but… others.

> “You’re shaking,” he said, voice layered with other voices. Too many. Too deep. “You feel it, don’t you? I’m not alone here.”

His eyes glowed—one deep blue, like Dabi’s… the other, a sickening void black.

Then he moved.

In an instant—

Black tendrils erupted from his back—All For One's stolen Black Whip.

The air warped around him as he blinked out of sight—a Quirk like Warp Gate fused with Hyper-Speed.

His hand slammed into the ground—and from it came spiked obsidian growths, reminiscent of Redestro’s Stress powers—but twisted, sharper, faster.

> “I learned from every mistake my predecessors made. Every power. Every mind. Now they’re mine.”

---

The Students — Paralyzed

Naoko’s hands trembled as obsidian thorns blocked her path. Riku was frozen, the comic words floating above his head spelling out a single phrase:

> “He’s everything.”

Katsuo grit his teeth. Blood ran down his side. His Float flickered.

> “You’re not All For One…”

> “Aren’t I?” Ashen grinned. “He whispered to me in the tank they made me in. Sang lullabies of power. When I woke up, I was him—and me—and so many others.”

---

Inside His Mind – A Glimpse

Just for a heartbeat, Katsuo’s Black Whip grazes Ashen—and in that flash, he sees it.

A throne of molten nerves.

Dozens of faces screaming from inside Ashen’s subconscious.

All For One.

Shigaraki.

A child version of Ashen, crying.

Doctor Ujiko, smiling.

Old villains. Forgotten experiments. ARAKAWA. GIGANTOMACHIA.

All merged. All serving one body.

> “They all obey now,” Ashen said. “Their wills, their pain… my strength.”

---

Ashen’s Power Surge

He ignites with white-hot flames—not blue—something beyond cremation.

> “Solar Nova.”

The sky goes white. Even sunlight pales beside him.

The light burns. Katsuo’s arms shield his eyes, and yet, it hurts.

---

Deku's Voice Cracks Through the Smoke

> “This… This is the Quirk Singularity Event. Realized.”

He turns to Dabi, voice tight.

> “We’re not just fighting a villain anymore. We’re fighting a god… made of ghosts.”

Location: UA Ruins – The Smoldering Battlefield

The world cracked beneath Deku’s feet as lightning, smoke, black tendrils, and pressure waves burst from his body all at once. Gearshift. Smokescreen. Blackwhip. Danger Sense. Float. Fa Jin. And the original power of One For All.

He stood tall, emerald eyes glowing like beacons through the dust.

> “Katsuo,” he said without turning his head, “watch closely.”

Then Deku disappeared.

---

The Clash Begins

Ashen caught Deku’s first punch—barely—but the force behind it blasted both of them into the air. The sky bent with the collision of two legacies.

Black Whip shot out like serpents, binding Ashen’s limbs.

Fa Jin pulsed through Deku’s legs, chaining explosive strikes.

Danger Sense buzzed wildly—but Deku ignored it. He moved anyway.

Gearshift shattered physics, letting him land blows faster than light.

Ashen grinned through it all—his arms catching fire in a brilliant orange corona.

> “YEAH! THAT’S IT, DEKU! COME ON, LET ME FEEL IT!”

He struck back with a shockwave of flame and force, spinning in a cyclone of dark tendrils and flame-infused punches.

---

Deku Struggles

Midair, Deku's teeth gritted. Blood trickled from his temple.

> “This… isn’t enough,” he muttered. “He's evolved beyond us.”

Ashen soared toward him with a beast’s scream.

> “ONE FOR ALL ISN’T ENOUGH!”

---

But Then—

A voice cut through the storm.

> “It’s not supposed to be.”

BOOM.

Katsuo slammed into Ashen from the side, Float and Black Whip chaining together with a shockwave. His eyes were lit with the same glow as Deku’s—yet uniquely his.

> “One For All was never just about power!”

The student stood beside the teacher—arms shaking, lungs burning.

> “It’s about standing together.”

---

Two Generations. One Force.

Deku’s hand glows with Full Cowl 100%.

Katsuo’s aura pulses with the hybrid force of Cremation and One For All.

Their Blackwhips merge, creating a web of glowing green lightning.

> “Together,” Deku says, voice steady. “Let’s finish this.”

Ashen’s grin grows even wider.

> “YES. SHOW ME EVERYTHING.”

The battlefield is ruined.

Smoke rises in waves. The sky is lit in blinding flashes—lightning, flame, black energy. Deku and Katsuo stand battered, bloodied, kneeling in the rubble.

Ashen floats above them, his body steaming with molten scars. His orange fire crackles, wrapped in a spiraling aura of dark Quirk energy. He’s laughing. Not out of joy, but out of clarity.

> “It’s beautiful, isn’t it? The moment before everything ends.”

He surges forward—and hits both Deku and Katsuo with a burst of supernova flame that sends them crashing through walls and into the dirt.

But then…

A new flame erupts behind Ashen—blue, raw, and furious.

> “You want to be me?”

“Then BURN like I did.”

Dabi crashes into Ashen from behind, wreathed in full power—his own Cremation roaring in a hellstorm of blue. His sleeves are gone, his coat torn, his mask burned off. The world sees his scars—but this time, they’re a symbol.

> “You ain’t me, clone. You’re what happens when power forgets pain.”

---

The Three Generations: United

Katsuo rises, legs trembling—but he grips Deku’s hand.

> “He needs us.”

Deku nods.

Together, Katsuo, Deku, and Dabi converge on Ashen.

Katsuo channels Float + Cremation to blast in from above.

Deku rides Black Whip like a rocket—his aura burning green hot.

Dabi unleashes a tornado of blue fire, whipping the battlefield into a spiral of death and flame.

They hit Ashen together—a Threefold Smash of flame, Quirks, and legacy.

---

**Ashen Screams—**a sound that shatters windows.

He crashes into the ground, his cloak torn, his chest scorched—but his eyes still blaze. A smirk stretches across his face, even as blood runs from his mouth.

> “Impressive... but not enough.”

He raises a trembling hand—and vanishes in a sudden burst of black energy. A Teleportation Quirk—stolen, used in the moment they drop their guard.

Only ash and a scorched crater remain.

---

Silence.

The three heroes stand in the glow of burning ruins, the taste of bitter smoke in their mouths.

> “He’ll be back,” Dabi mutters, the fire dying in his throat. “And next time… he won’t run.”

Deku lowers his head, fists clenched.

Katsuo stares at where Ashen vanished, the weight of destiny heavy in his lungs.

BNHA: Legacy Rising – Chapter 11

Part 1 – Fangs and Fury

---

The smoke hasn’t settled.

Katsuo is on one knee, arm cradled and burned. Deku barely stands, his cloak scorched and One For All flickering faintly across his limbs. Dabi stares into the scorched crater where Ashen vanished, jaw tight.

Silence. Until—

> KABOOM!!!

The ground erupts as a blast wave tears through the treeline. Flames spiral like a meteor crashing down—

Bakugou Katsuki lands like a living explosion, gauntlets steaming, face twisted into a scowl.

> “Tch. You morons let him get away?!”

Behind him… something moves like a shadow with claws.

Mikazuki Kurosawa—Moonfang—leaps from the smoke on all fours, her hounds spilling out like a tide of night. Her golden, slit-pupiled eyes scan the destruction, her nose twitching.

> “I smell him… Ashen. Burned flesh and stolen pride. He was here.”

Twelve shadow hounds ripple around her, some crouched low, others growling toward the crater like it still holds a threat.

Deku blinks in disbelief. “Moonfang? I thought you were—”

> “Gone?”

She grins, fang-bared.

“Not when my pack’s involved.”

---

The Pack Regroups

Bakugou walks straight to Katsuo and smacks the back of his head—lightly, for once.

> “You held your ground. That’s more than most ever did.”

Mika moves beside Dabi, eyeing him with something between recognition and unspoken kinship.

> “You’re the original… He used your scent. Your flame. But not your soul.”

Dabi exhales, his voice low.

> “Then let’s hunt him. Strip everything he stole. And burn what’s left.”

Moonfang lifts her hand, shadows thickening as her hounds grow restless.

> “Then we move before his trail cools. He’s not the only one with a pack.”

The heroes regroup on the smoldering ridge. Smoke curls off shattered stone. Katsuo leans on his knees, coughing. Dabi, arms still alight, stares toward the dark horizon.

Bakugou stands with his arms crossed, watching Mikazuki as her shadow hounds fade into the black behind her.

Deku speaks first, his tone wary.

> “Moonfang... why are you really here?”

Mikazuki doesn't flinch. Her golden eyes meet his with an unreadable expression.

> “Simple. I was hired.”

Katsuo tenses. “By who?”

Bakugou steps forward, voice sharp.

> “By me.”

Silence follows.

> “Before this went nuclear, I started pulling strings. Knew we’d need someone who can hunt in the dark, fight without rules. She’s got the instinct. The muscle. And the fangs.”

He jerks his thumb toward Mikazuki.

> “Deal was: she helps us stop Ashen, I get her record wiped.”

Deku’s eyes narrow. “She’s a vigilante, Bakugou. You know what kind of message that sends—”

> “Yeah. Send the message we’re not stupid.”

Bakugou’s glare is volcanic.

“She’s done more good in the shadows than half the damn Commission. And right now? We need everyone.”

Mikazuki tilts her head slightly, her tone calm but firm.

> “I didn’t come here to be trusted. I came to hunt. And if clearing my name means breaking bones for you people... then I’ll shatter whoever I have to.”

Her hounds stir, shadows licking at her heels.

Dabi smirks.

> “Sounds like my kind of woman.”

Katsuo glances at Deku, who finally exhales—slow and heavy. He nods once, grim.

> “Fine. But she answers us. If she steps out of line—”

> “I bite back,” Mika finishes with a faint grin, fang peeking through.

---

Mission Accepted. The Hunt Begins.

Moonfang’s pack fans out through the scorched terrain. She moves to Bakugou's side, a lone wolf now with something to prove. The others watch her with caution… but maybe, just maybe, this is what the war needs.

The wind shifted over the scorched battlefield, still heavy with soot and tension. The heroes were reeling—some from the clash, others from the reveal of Moonfang's presence.

But the night wasn't done bringing surprises.

A soft whip-crack of movement echoed across the field. Something darted along the rooftops—fast, silent, calculated.

Bakugou looked up, tensing. “We’ve got movement.”

Deku narrowed his eyes, then relaxed slightly. “She’s here.”

From the shadows, a figure dropped low onto a half-crushed rooftop beam. Her landing was silent, feline. Cloaked in dark mesh armor with flexible plates and a lightweight cloak, she stood with perfect posture—tense, but composed.

Her eyes gleamed like twin amber slits under her visor.

> “Agent Kirika Yumeno. Reporting in.”

Her voice was low, velvety but clipped with discipline. She didn’t look at anyone for long—her gaze flicked, assessing threat, terrain, and ally positions in seconds.

Deku gave her a grateful nod. “You’re late.”

Kirika tilted her head faintly. “Only because I was tailing Ashen’s scouts. I took two of them out before they could report back.”

Katsuo raised an eyebrow, stepping beside Dabi. “Who’s this? Another stray?”

Deku turned to him, voice firm.

> “No. Kirika is one of my best. Top stealth specialist in the agency. She works off-grid most of the time.”

Bakugou scoffed. “Didn’t even hear her coming. Tch. Nice.”

Mikazuki’s golden eyes studied Kirika with interest. A kindred shadow. A fellow predator. Their energy didn’t clash—it coiled around each other like wary wolves sharing territory.

Kirika’s eyes flicked toward Mika, then back to Deku.

> “Moonfang. Unexpected… but not unwelcome. This is a full moon hunt, it seems.”

Mikazuki grinned faintly. “I like her already.”

Without another word, Kirika crouched beside Deku and pulled out a compact device. A holographic map bloomed from it.

> “Ashen’s moved into the old power grid tunnels beneath the northern sector. He’s laying traps. We have maybe half an hour before his next play.”

Deku nodded, tightening his fists. “Then we move now.”

---

As the moon rises higher, the predators gather.

Shadow hound, stealth panther, and explosive fox ready to hunt.

Smoke still curled off shattered concrete and mangled rebar as the battlefield settled into a grim silence. Heroes regrouped, bloodied but standing. For once, it seemed like they had the upper hand.

Moonfang stood atop a broken vehicle, her eyes locked on the retreating shadows. Kirika crouched beside a downed transmission tower, headset blinking as she relayed data. Bakugou’s breathing was heavy, muzzle tipped toward the sky, smoke still sizzling from his gauntlets.

> “We pushed ‘em back…” he growled. “We won.”

But Deku’s heart sank.

Because something was wrong.

Too easy.

From above, a villain’s laugh echoed—crackling and hollow. A voice laced with mockery.

> “You think this was about winning?” said Ashen Veil, stepping from a veil of smoke on a distant rooftop. “No, no, heroes… this was about gathering.”

Katsuo’s eyes widened. “What the hell is he talking about—?”

The scream shattered the moment.

“AIRI!!”

Everyone turned.

A blinding flash erupted from the northern plaza—and just like that, she was gone.

Airi Midoriya. Gone.

Not a trace of her left—no blood, no dropped item, no hint of struggle. Only a pulsing scorch mark on the stone beneath where she stood.

> “You bastards!!” Katsuo’s voice broke like thunder as blue flames exploded from his arms. “You took her?! You TOOK HER?!”

Deku sprinted forward, searching, eyes frantic. “No—no, no, no… not her—!”

Ashen laughed, already disappearing into the mist with the remaining villains. “You taught her well, Izuku. We’ll see what her light looks like in the dark.”

Bakugou grabbed Katsuo before he launched after them, shouting, “It’s a trap! You go now, you’ll die—and you’ll never save her!”

But Katsuo was seething, trembling in rage, flame burning his breath ragged. “I should’ve protected her—I was right there!”

Mikazuki snarled low, her shadow hounds circling protectively. “They knew exactly who to take. The beacon child.”

Kirika’s eyes narrowed, calculating. “They wanted more than data. This was a raid with purpose.”

Deku dropped to one knee, fist slammed into the earth, grief flooding his features. “They got what they wanted…”

A pause.

Then Katsuo’s voice, low and burning with intent:

> “Then we go get her back. I don’t care where they ran to.”

BNHA: Legacy Rising – Chapter 12

Part 1 – Strike Force: League of Fire

---

The war room inside Deku’s agency was dead silent.

Maps of the underground compound known only as the League of Fire Dungeon flickered on digital screens, red markers blinking over likely entrance points. The briefing lights glared dimly across tense, furious faces.

> “They have my daughter,” Deku said, standing at the head of the room, fists clenched. “We strike fast. We strike hard. No more second chances.”

Beside him, Katsuo Todoroki sat silent, heat coiling off his body like waves. His hands were trembling—not from fear, but from the sheer rage barely contained in his chest.

> “This isn’t a rescue mission,” he said. “This is war.”

THE STRIKE TEAM ASSEMBLES:

Class 1-B’s Legacy:

Katsuo Todoroki – Wrath burning, ready to scorch the world to save Airi.

Airi’s classmates:

Shika Aizawa (Drowse Down) – Quirk already syncing with the shadows.

Riku Mineta – Quiet, but his constructs had already hardened into shields.

Haruto Kaminari – Sparks flying from his fingers.

Naoko Ashido, Saya Sero, Miko Asui, and Kaito Tokoyami – Each geared, eyes hardened with resolve.

Sora Hagakure, Shin Aoyama, Ren Sato, and the rest – ready to prove that Class 1-B was no backup.

Veteran Heroes – Class 1-A’s Finest:

Bakugou Katsuki – Arms folded, tail flicking, eyes never blinking.

Shoto Todoroki – Silent and icy, standing behind his son with fire in his veins.

Ochaco Uraraka – Nodding quietly to Deku, gloves on.

Kyoka, Denki, Iida, Mina, Kirishima, Sero – armored and ready, no hesitation.

Tsuyu Asui and Koda – present not just as heroes, but as parents. Miko’s eyes flicked toward them with a subtle nod.

Hanta and Shoji – already prepping tactical gear.

Specialists & Power Players:

Dabi – leaning in the corner, arms crossed. “They took my niece. This ends with their ashes.”

Mikazuki Kurosawa (Moonfang) – sharpening a blade silently, her hounds pacing around the war room.

Kirika Yumeno – flipping through maps and thermal scans, her ears twitching. “Found their breathing vents. We slipped in there.”

Pro Hero Cerberus Rex (Daigo Inugami) – teeth bared, three-headed form looming. “You want a hellhound in their dungeon? You got one.”

The room vibrated with energy—resolve and vengeance mixing in equal parts.

Deku turned to the group. His green eyes no longer held the naive shine of youth. They were sharp now—piercing, like steel forged by loss.

> “We’re not just storming in. This is their stronghold. Booby traps, quirks in every wall, and prisoners they’ll use as shields.”

He looked directly at Katsuo.

> “But we’ll bring them all home. Airi will come back. And we’ll end the League of Fire—forever.”

Everyone rose.

Gear checked.

Final nods ed.

The strike team moved out.

And as the doors to the war room opened into the stormy night—Katsuo whispered, more to himself than anyone else:

> “Wait for me, Airi. I’m coming.”

MISSION NAME: Operation Ashlock: League of Fire Dungeon Assault

Dabi – His control over blue flames makes him the perfect firewall.

Haruto Kaminari – Area disruption and EMP-style bursts fry comms and traps.

Miko Asui – Agile and tactical, great at intercepting runners or scouts.

Shin Aoyama – His prism-based illusions disorient and corral fleeing enemies.

The doors sealed behind them with a mechanical clang, locking the combined force of heroes and students within the League of Fire's subterranean fortress. Heat rolled in waves through the stone corridors, the scent of sulfur and scorched metal thick in the air. This wasn’t just a lair. It was a tomb waiting to close on them all.

Katsuo stepped forward, his face shadowed beneath the red glow of warning lights. Ice curled along his right arm, while embers drifted from his left palm. Beside him, Kirika Yumeno prowled ahead in silence, eyes narrowed, feline instincts on full display. Every movement she made was calculated, precise, and deadly.

The squad behind them was a collection of legends in the making and heroes forged in fire: Deku, now the Symbol of Peace; Dabi, burning with a quiet resolve; and the newly graduated elite from Class 1-A and Class 1-B, including the next generation of protectors who carried their parents’ legacy on their shoulders.

Moonfang dropped to all fours, her shadow hounds fanning out ahead of her. “They’re deeper in,” she growled. “Waiting. Watching.”

A blast echoed down a far hallway.

"We're not alone," Shin Aoyama muttered, his illusions flickering like shattered glass.

---

The Assault Begins

Team Alpha led the charge. Kirika moved like a whisper, disabling traps and marking clear paths. Her sleek form darted through a laser grid, tail twitching with anticipation. Behind her, Naoko Ashido used her Emerald Armor to shield them as they advanced, while Katsuo and Deku stayed flanked, eyes sharp for any sign of Airi.

In a flash, the ambush began.

Three villains lunged from the shadows, all enhanced—test subjects, likely remnants from the same projects that gave Kureha his power.

Katsuo's rage burst open. “WHERE IS SHE?!"

A blast of fire and frost hurled forward, overwhelming their foes with sheer elemental fury.

---

Meanwhile, deeper within the stronghold...

Team Beta was tearing through the auxiliary wings. Bakugou led the offensive, his explosions thunderous, clearing out squads of cannon-fodder villains. Moonfang tore into the walls like a feral beast, hounds baying and sinking their fangs into enemy defenses.

Saya Sero dropped shock pulses that disoriented their foes, while Riku Mineta's bouncing grenades created chaotic crossfire, cornering the enemy.

They reached the armory. A pause.

"Trap," Moonfang hissed.

Bakugou grinned. "Good. Let's set it off."

A chained detonation reduced the vault to rubble. One less weapon stash for the League.

---

Team Gamma - Recon and Recovery

Sora Hagakure floated along the ceiling, invisible to both eye and machine. With her were Shika Aizawa and Kaito Tokoyami. Shika released sleep-inducing mist through the vents while Kaito's shadow hounds sniffed for intel.

They found it.

Blueprints. Enemy data. And most importantly—a live feed.

Airi Midoriya, unconscious, strapped to a vertical containment pillar surrounded by arcane circuitry.

Shika clenched her fists. “They were never here to win. They wanted her from the start.”

---

Team Delta - Suppression and Counterattack

Dabi's flames crawled along the walls, sealing exits. Haruto surged power through the ground, shorting out the surveillance systems. Miko Asui launched into the air, striking down enemy lookouts with whip-precision tongue strikes.

Shin Aoyama created lifelike illusions of the heroes advancing down multiple halls, confusing the League’s remaining defenders.

They trapped several lieutenants, cornering them with no exit.

But just as they began interrogation— the walls exploded outward.

Smoke. Fire. And laughter.

Ashen stood on the far side, unscathed.

"You’re brave. But predictable."

He snapped his fingers. The dungeon began to shift—mechanical walls reshuffling, stairs collapsing.

"Thanks for the data."

---

Retreat

Back at the heart of the fortress, Katsuo tore apart the last guard. Deku grabbed him as the floor quaked.

"We have to go!"

Kirika pulled Naoko back as a firestorm raced toward them.

Through the inferno, a message burned into the wall:

“The League of Fire thanks you for your sacrifice.”

And beneath it, the symbol: 灼 - Ash.

They vanished.

And so had Airi.

Katsuo stood in the rubble, fists clenched, aura blazing. Tears sizzled on his cheeks.

"I'm bringing her home. I swear it."

Deku stepped beside him. “We all are.”

Ash bled through the sky as the League’s twisted fortress groaned under the weight of the invasion. The flames that danced across its edges flickered with wild, unnatural hues—orange bleeding into violet, crimson turning black. Each corridor the heroes stepped through was like a beast’s throat: tight, pulsing with heat, and reeking of sulfur and blood.

Katsuo moved like a storm, his fists wreathed in blue fire, every strike powered by the fury of a stolen future. “Where is she!?” he bellowed again, blasting open another steel door with explosive force. The room inside was empty—just another decoy chamber, another delay tactic.

Behind him, Kirika Yumeno slid in silently, her clawed hands gleaming in the dim light. She didn’t speak often, but her golden eyes flicked back to Katsuo. “They’re leading you… not away from her, but somewhere you’re meant to see.”

Katsuo gritted his teeth. “Then I’ll go through whatever sick show they’ve set up.”

Across the burning complex, the others were split into small strike squads, tearing deeper into the dungeon. Mikazuki Kurosawa—Moonfang—sprinted across a collapsing balcony, her shadow hounds leaping ahead of her. With a single whistle, they vanished into cracks in the floor, racing into the deeper levels like fangs on a scent.

“We're getting closer,” she growled to Bakugou, who was already charging up another massive detonation. “Something’s pulling them back—whoever’s leading this charge is moving the pieces faster than we expected.”

Bakugou snarled. “Let ‘em run. We’ll corner ‘em. Ain’t no rat escaping this fire.”

Meanwhile, Deku stood in the central chamber, blood running down his lip, his eyes burning with energy. His body sparked with overlapping quirks—Blackwhip extended across multiple hallways, Fa Jin charging in his legs, and Danger Sense pulsing like a war drum in his skull. He clenched his fist, the echo of One For All’s former s whispering at the edge of his thoughts.

“They’re splitting up,” Deku muttered. “Trying to exhaust us… but we’ve been through worse.”

At his side, Kirika’s ears twitched. “They’re testing your legacy.”

Deku nodded grimly. “Then let them see what it means to stand against everyone I’ve trained.”

Down below, in the lowest depths of the complex, the League made their final move.

Ashen stepped into a chamber illuminated only by pulsing red light. In the center, restrained by energy cuffs and a glowing suppression collar, was Airi Midoriya. Her eyes fluttered open just long enough to whisper, “Katsuo…”

Ashen crouched beside her, watching the chaos on the monitors behind them. “Let them come. Let them burn through every floor. It’s not about defeating them… It’s about breaking them.”

Another villain—a new face in a blank white mask—entered the room and whispered, “They're almost here. Shall we execute the withdrawal?”

Ashen smiled. “Soon. Let him see her. Let him almost reach her… and then tear her away. That’s how you build despair.”

Back up above, Katsuo suddenly stopped. His heart was wrenched. He felt her.

His body ignited fully—every part of his Quirk screaming in sync with his soul.

“She’s here,” he growled, turning to Kirika. “Come with me or stay behind.”

Kirika didn’t hesitate. “Lead the way, wildfire.”

As they charged downward, Bakugou and Mikazuki fought their way through a new swarm of elite villains—twisted hybrid Nomu, reeking of flame and steel.

“This is a message,” Moonfang muttered as she ripped a beast apart with a swirl of claws and hounds. “They want us to see what they’ve become.”

Bakugou blasted one clean in half. “Then let’s reply with hellfire.”

The raid pressed on—every hallway a warzone, every chamber a trap or a test. And in the final seconds of Part 4, as Katsuo and Kirika burst into the holding chamber—

It was already too late.

Ashen stood there, grinning as the light bent around him, teleportation energy warping his body. Airi floated beside him, unconscious, his hand tangled in her hair.

“You almost made it,” Ashen whispered. “That’s the story of your life, isn’t it, Katsuo?”

And with a final pulse of energy, they vanished.

Katsuo screamed. Fire exploded from his body, shaking the chamber so violently it cracked at the seams. Deku arrived only seconds later, skidding to a halt with wild eyes—too late again.

Mikazuki howled in the distance. Kirika’s claws pierced the floor. Bakugou punched the wall with an explosion that echoed like thunder.

The League had vanished. And they had taken what mattered most.

The storm did not calm. It intensified.

In the aftermath of Airi’s abduction, fury surged through every student, hero, and ally. Katsuo led the charge—unrelenting, wildfire in human form. He didn’t eat. He barely slept. His hands were burned raw from overuse of his Quirk, but he would not stop.

They tracked the League to a volcanic wasteland—a fortress buried in magma-choked cliffs, guarded by traps and constructs powered by Quirk-enhancing tech. A dungeon of pure cruelty. This was the League of Fire’s final bastion.

But this time, there were no more games.

Deku stood at the front with Katsuo beside him, eyes hardened with battle-hardened clarity. Behind them stood the new Class 1-B: Airi’s classmates. Dabi smoldered at the rear, silent, but his blue flames danced higher than ever before.

“We go in, we don’t stop,” Deku said firmly. “We take her back—and we end this.”

No more distractions. No more delays.

---

The raid this time was like a synchronized storm. Pair-ups struck with brutal efficiency:

Kirika and Shin Aoyama clearing shadow-laced corridors with silent speed.

Haruto and Saya Sero moving in electric rhythm, blasting through resistance.

Shika Aizawa and Riku Mineta using hallucinations and illusions to scatter guards.

Miko Asui and Kaito Tokoyami plunging through vents and underground channels, ghosting behind enemy lines.

And leading the hammer team—Katsuo, Moonfang, Bakugou, and Deku.

They reached the central chamber. And there she was.

Airi Midoriya, suspended in a containment field, her Quirk being drained by twisted machinery. Her hair floated like starlight, her body limp—but her chest rose.

She was alive.

Katsuo didn’t wait.

He ripped through the wall with a roar, his flames turning violet with wrath. Moonfang and her hounds lunged at the guards. Kirika sliced the control . Deku used Blackwhip to pull Airi free as Bakugou detonated the core generator.

And it should have been over.

But it wasn’t.

From the far side of the chamber, Ashen stepped forward—bloodied, breathing heavily, but smiling like a man who still held the ace.

“You did it,” he coughed. “You actually did it… I knew it. She was worth it to you.”

Katsuo didn’t answer. He was done talking.

Ashen raised one hand and snapped. The ceiling above them exploded open—and from it descended the true architect of the League.

He wasn’t cloaked.

He wasn’t hiding.

A figure in armor, with glowing crimson eyes and a presence that felt like pure gravity stepped down onto the floor with mechanical grace.

“I am the Flame Warden,” the figure intoned. “But I am not your enemy.”

Everyone froze.

“The one you fight… the one you think you’ve bested… was merely a test. A puppet I created to carry out the old vision. One that no longer serves the future.”

Katsuo growled, stepping forward protectively in front of Airi.

“What are you saying?”

The Flame Warden raised his hand, and a familiar, dark, all-consuming aura bloomed around him.

The room chilled. Deku’s Danger Sense went wild.

Moonfang’s hounds whimpered and vanished into her shadow.

“No way…” Deku whispered. “That… that’s…”

“All For One,” Flame Warden confirmed. “Not the man. The Quirk. It needed a host who would carry it beyond vengeance… beyond failure.”

“You’re lying,” Katsuo snapped. “All For One is dead. Gone. Deku—!”

“Gone?” the Flame Warden laughed. “You burned down the forest but forgot the seeds. The Quirk needed only a new garden.”

He opened his hand. A pulse of energy blasted across the room—raw, greedy, powerful.

And every hero felt it.

All For One had not died.

It had evolved.

“You’ve won the battle,” Flame Warden said. “Take the girl. Lick your wounds. Rest. Because when we meet again…”

He leaned forward, the metal mask pulsing with crimson light.

“…it won’t be in your world. It’ll be mine.”

With a blinding flash, he vanished.

---

The School year ends As the kids move into their second year.

Airi was saved.

But the war was just beginning.

As the sun rose the next day, Katsuo stood at the edge of the hospital roof, watching the sky burn orange with new fire. Deku ed him quietly.

“Do we stand a chance?” Katsuo asked, still trembling with everything he’d felt… and everything he was still burning with.

Deku looked up.

“We have each other. That’s always been enough to start with.”

Far below, Class 1-B gathered.

Not students anymore.

Heroes.

And soon…

The world would know it.
