SAFTEY GLASSES ON

I keep seeing this in the recents. People continue putting in images that do not belong to them, and just posting the image without credit. I know many people have already done posts like this, but I felt I needed to do this.

GUIDELINES

Even the guidelines state that you need to put credit for your images. It's just respectful to the artist who put in the time. If you can't find the original image, why not use a different one or draw your own?

REVERSE IMAGE SEARCHING

One way you can find the original artist is to use the reverse search method. I don't know all the ways you could do it, but I myself like to use this website. It's a reverse image search engine. There are also many videos on this method you can find.

GIVING CREDIT

This is the area I have the least amount of knowledge in, as I usually use my own drawings or Horikoshi's manga s or anime frames as examples, which don't need credit. (We all know Horikoshi's art) Anyway, I have used a couple other images, but usually I use images from Tumblr or YouTube because it's easy to find the artist, as they are the ones who posted it. Then, I copy the link to the page and put it with the drawing. I believe that's enough credit. You also don't have to put a link, as long as you say the platform and the artist's name.

EXAMPLES

**I will be using my own work.

This is an example of what you shouldn't be doing.

I really like this drawing of Toga!

Clearly, this post wouldn't cut it. All I did was put in a drawing and a few words. Heres the examples of what you should do.

I found this drawing of Toga that I like! It's by AtsukiDeshima!

Both of these examples include the artist and where they found it, though one is a link and the other is written out. Both work in of crediting, and show that it doesn't belong to the person reposting it.

SOME FINAL NOTES

Please do the same thing for heavy referencing. PLEASE. Even if you did draw it, it's not entirely yours. Please add the original picture to the post as well.

Thank you for reading my PSA!! Have a nice day!!
