Dunoth is one of the more common large monsters in the wyvernridge district of the old world, known to inhabit forested, arid, and volcanic regions. While it may look like a miniature anjanath it is actually a close relative of the barroth which evolved to hunt larger prey rather then ants and other bugs. Dunoth get their ability to breathe fire from injesting flint rich minerals, which combined with internal gasses it releases from its mouth to create the flames.

Unlike its cousin barroth, dunoths skulls aren't strong enough to be used to ram into monsters or hunters. So instead their jaws evolved to become more powerful weapons along with them developing fire breath.
