Properly Introducing my OCs, Part 2: Indiana!

Hello! This and all other OC introduction posts may be wordy, so if you’re into reading and wanting to know my OCs better, dive in! :heart:

Now then! Let’s introduce the next quadruplet:

Indiana!!

Indiana, the second born, is the strict, emo quadruplet. His favorite colors are red, yellow, and black. He loves red because he likes to match with his sister (who will be introduced in the next post) and that he loves strawberries; yellow because he’s about to marry someone who loves the color yellow; and black because of his emo phase and the friends he made during it. (Yeah, you read right. He had an emo phase.) He doesn’t have a favorite flower, for he thinks that every flower is a symbol of love, friendship, and trust. He loves coffee, preferably decaf and with cream and sugar. His favorite food is anything that he, his friends, and his family cooks.

As his emo phase was previously stated, Indiana shared mommy issues with his siblings. He’s the only one who took it pretty hard and acted rebellious for a little while. He didn’t know how to take living a while without a mother (she isn’t dead, she is just very neglectful). He would cry a lot because of it but didn’t have a way to properly release his emotions. So, throughout his phase, he started getting into music that he’s never heard of and became interested in making music himself, his brother Illias later following behind him. Indiana, along with Illias and their sister DiDi, started taking band in middle school! He also had a close family friend who wanted to take band with him due to a similar reason. That friend’s name was Reese, who will be introduced in a different post!

From then on, Indiana wanted to pursue in composing and writing music. He loved his band classes and got along with his band mates and teachers. He grew to learn to play many different instruments along the way. In his senior year of high school through college, he then wanted to pursue in helping students learn to play instruments and read music as well. As of today, he’s still a college student getting a degree in teaching as he already earned one for music composition and music engineering. To boost for the degree he’s working for, he stays after class hours tutoring students on reading music and playing instruments. He also works in his dad’s cafe as a shift manager, assistant manager, pastry and sandwich chef, and cashier. He also closes the cafe most of the time and checks to see if everything is clean before the cafe opens again the next day.

Also during his emo phase, from then to this day, he refused to cut his hair. He never liked dying it or bleaching it either. He wanted it to grow it out to catch up with other guys who grew their hair out. Although he was bullied for having long hair, it didn’t stop him from being confident in what he wanted to look like and what he loved doing. Now, he only trims his ends. He usually keeps it in a braid nowadays, but it is brushed and maintained every single day and washed once every week or once every two weeks. He loves taking care of it, with the assistance of his sisters and his fiancée. Indiana loves returning a favor for his fiancée as he loves taking care of her hair, too! Word goes around that his hair smells like strawberries!

I’ve stated before that he’s about to marry someone/that he has a fiancée, but I never stated his sexuality. Indiana is bisexual, but is male leaning. Although he tends to attract to males more than females, he is currently dating and is engaged to a beautiful and very sweet woman. Her name is Scarlette! She is the only woman who Indiana was and still is attracted to because of her personality and her unique physical features. Scarlette will be seen in a later post! As of today, they have been together for a year and 8 months!

He is also inclusive and loves spreading kindness.

Indiana isn’t too chaotic, but he is one of the jokesters in the family, though he isn’t the top jokester. He tends to pull dad jokes most of the time, so later he’s described to have cool dad vibes. He also likes math jokes and jokes that “intellectual people” can understand. Although he does this, he also doesn’t condone in bullying or any offensive humor that hurts him or his friends and family. He tends to be careful with what he says.

Indiana may be the second born in the family, but because he has grown a strict and overprotective trait as soon as he graduated high school, he also takes charge. He loves looking out for the people closest to him, making sure that they stay safe and don’t get harmed.

Indiana is also the most responsible sibling when it comes to money. He is very thrifty because he likes to save money for meaningful things and bills. He only shops for himself when he feels that he deserves a reward. He covers all of the bills for the house that he and his siblings share and his dad previously owned.

Indiana’s favorite pastimes are cooking, dancing, reading, tutoring, a little bit of drawing, and mostly, playing on the piano for his fiancée to soothe her nerves or for her enjoyment. The piano is one of the first instruments he learned how to play and grew very fond of playing it when he was bored. He doesn’t sing much, as opposed to his brother, but he sings sometimes when he plays a song he likes or the whole family knows.
