After Scorpion burned Shao Kahn to ashes, he saved EarthRealm from a grim fate. As Raiden promised for sparing SubZero’s life in the Tournament, Raiden Requested to the elder gods to restore the Shirai Ryu to the realm of mortals. Scorpion returned to his clan with everyone shocked at the revenant Hanzo was now, and fearing he’d be banished for this change, he was accepted back especially from Harumi and Satoshi. While Raiden works on finding a way to restore Hanzo to Mortal, Hanzo spends his time reunited with his family. His flames once used to burn his foes and now used to warmth his beloved ones.
