Alright! I’ve come up with an idea!
It will change the roleplay slightly, but not enough to affect most people.
Our current timeline is set right at the start of Vol 1. My idea is to move it to a year prior. This means we don’t have to worry about the Vytal Festival, or Salem’s faction, or any of that until long after the roleplay is well developed. It allows for more original characters and less interference with canon.
The downside is that less canon characters will be available for use.
What do you want? Do you have an argument for either side? Please vote and share your opinions below. Either way can work out well on its own, but I want to know what everyone else thinks of it.

I actually hate when people use canon characters. It's Uncreative and lazy in my eyes, a different timeline will be a fresh start.
The longer we can keep it, the more we get to be comfortable rping for the 1st Volume
I agree with the change of timeline too.
Trying to take into canon characterization will only mess with us. At most, the only real factor here I think is Lionheart (given some insinuations in the latest episodes).
I'm all for it, all my characters were originally written in fanfics where they were a year ahead of team RWBY anyway.
Now I wanna change my vote just to be a contrarian.
*points at Argent* You sadist!
