Today I'd like to introduce

you to the Alternate Universe

of the TV series, which is nothing

like the original BBC version.

My thinking has led me

to believe that the adventures

of Arthur, Merlin, Morgana, Gaius,

Guinevere, and all the other guys

are just an illusion.

To be more precise, this whole

fairy-tale world exists only within

the mind of Arthur Pendragon,

who is actually suffering from

some severe psychological illness.

Arthur imagines all his problems

in life as the adventures of a prince

and his naughty servant. When in

fact he was all alone, in a psychiatric

hospital, with no one by his side. He

needed a friend around him and

he created one for himself.

When the events in the series

gather momentum, when a serious

enemy appears in the form of Morgana,

Morgause and even in the form of his

father Uther, when the series itself

becomes more serious and dark - the

universe that Arthur invented for his

own peace of mind begins to collapse.

Bits and pieces of reality and experiences

from there break through into his

consciousness, which is closed

off from real people

And when at the very end, when

Arthur lives his own death, he closes

his eyes, opens them again and sees

only white walls, a ceiling and

a hospital bed in front of him.

All the vast forests, the misty Albion,

the huge Camelot, it all disappeared

before his eyes, as if it had never existed.

All that day, after "waking up", he will

quietly watch everyone who comes

into the ward, doctors, nurses, relatives,

friends, they will all be ed by him.

Arthur will sit silently on his bed until the

evening when his father and Morgana

come to see him. Only then will

he realize that his mind took

all the images from reality.

Then Arthur decided to wait. He had

to wait for the last person he wanted

to hug tightly and tearfully thank, for

if it hadn't been for the servant boy

who had always pulled him out of

the smeterelny situations in Camelot,
