Can I take this Algebraic Geometry course if I only know the basics?

Hi, I am in a Master program that focuses on algebra and geometry, and I am thinking about what courses to take. There is a course called Algebraic Geometry III that looks interesting, in the syallbus, it's written that the following would be covered: Cohomology of quasi-coherent sheaves on schemes (finiteness for proper morphism, Serre duality, base chage) application of cohomology to Grothendieck's main theorems in scheme theory algebraic curves (Riemann-Roch theorem, Jacobian variety) algebraic surfaces (Riemann-Roch theorem, intersection theory of divisors) proof of the Weil conjectures for curves over finite fields. Since there are many people here who have done and are doing algebraic geometry, I was wondering that do you think one could handle these contents if s/he knew the basics of algebraic geometry, like affine and projective varieties and category theory (say, first two chapters of Hartshorne)? If not, what more materials does s/he need to know? The other courses I am thinking about taking are differential geometry and algebraic topology and two seminars. Thank you for your time!
