He distanced himself from her when she went to university and specially when she had Victoria, but soon decided that for the sake of his granddaughter they should reconnect.

                 ↳her brother is most likely the person she is closest to in the world. They have been through quite a lot together and were there for each other for the things they went through separately. When she was younger she used to look up at him as some protective or model figure but as they grew up, they became more equals, something she appreciated. They are however quite a quirky pair, weird and perhaps unstable to the outside eye but it works for them and for Marge, that's all that really matters. The two suffered greatly from Nathaniel's loss and Colin had his own perils in the war, but Marge never left his side for whatever troubles.

                  ↳a fantasy writer Marge encountered on one of the many parties she attended. She instantly took a liking of the writer's confident way of carrying herself and the way she seemed to have no filter, and the two became close friends rather quickly.

               ➥Sir Vincent Caliban

                  ↳a now deceased rich widowed man that grew very ill his later days in life, and hired Marge at quite a young age to work for him as a caretaker and overall just keep her company. He became a dear friend of hers, teaching her to play chess and giving her access to his library in which she engaged in her first independent studies in archeology and geology. After he died, he left her his mansion which she later sold to take care of her daughter and make sure all provisions for the future were set.

                  ↳ From the moment they met, they had been close and intentions were clear. Nathaniel was three years older than her and friends with her brother, but he was never shy about having a childish crush on the girl, giving her flowers he picked himself almost every day. They continued with the silly game for three years until she turned 14, when their dating became more serious, even though it was kept mostly in the shadows. They had matured, and found to love each other very much, not hiding their relationship on purpose but simply not finding reason to flount it. When Nathaniel turned 18, he was drafted to the war along with her brother, and the night before he was to leave, he proposed to the girl who was 15 at the time, as a promise. She was to wait for him and when the war was over and he came back, they'd get married. Marge did so, and waited patiently, happily calling herself engaged and resisting the fight with her parents once they found out. Until when her brother returned, she found out Nathaniel had died. She never recovered, and still wears the ring, calling him to have been the greatest and only love of her life.

                  ↳ he is to this day known as her greatest mistake. Marge met him when she was studying archeology in university, and he was one of the few peers she had who wasn't a complete condescending jerk. One day they met accidentally at a bar and she was studying there alone, which was a sad sight to say the least, so he decided to her. All was nice and well until they drank too much and went back to where she had been staying, where he turned out to spend the night. They agreed to forget it happened, though as she went to class on monday, she found Peter had told the class and she was now branded as someone "easy" by the classmates who already had enough against her just for being a woman. When she found she was pregnant, it made the case worse. After Victoria was born, though she wanted to keep her from him, Peter insisted in being a part of their daughter's life, and so now they keep a civil relationship for her sake, but she hates his guts and refuses to see him unless she absolutely has to.

Though a single mother, Marge does prioritize her career as well, and so often did leave Victoria with a regular nanny or her parents, sometimes her brother, but all and all made sure it didn't distance them, and that she was still present. Every night she puts her to bed no matter what, and Victoria could consider herself even spoiled, her birthday being usually a week long celebration.

               ➥ Marjorie Thorn was born as the youngest in a family of four components, herself, her brother and their parents. Her childhood was rather peaceful, and standard as one could expect for a middle class londoner. She was always quite fond of books and got good grades in school, eager to help anyone who might need it. She was only a teenager when the conflict got worse. Her and her brother were sent to the countryside as most youngsters when war was on the verge of coming too close to home, and though not much happened there regarding the conflict, they were always close to the news. Still, Marge developed herself into quite a social and curious young lady, making various friends and taking a deeper liking to her brothers best friend, a local, Nathaniel. The two fell madly in love, and maybe it was the war, but things moved rather fast and they wouldn't want it any other way. When more and more men of age started to get drafted, Nathaniel and her brother both were enlisted, leaving her behind. Nathaniel and her got engaged, even if she was only 17, the night before they left, as if a promise that he'd come back. And so, the two left. As a distraction, she dived deep into any studies she could, the radio on at all times to keep track of what was happening. When her brother returned once the war was won, she thought she couldn't be happier- except as he told, Nathaniel never made it back. As they returned to their parent's house in London, she never once forgot about the man she loved, keeping the engagement ring on at all times as a promise of her own. However, life had to move on, and so it did. She first attended secretarial school as her father had wished, and got a part time job tending to an old, Ill and widowed man who lived alone in quite the big house. She was more of a friend and companion to the man than anything, and the access to his vast library was most definitely a perk. Though the more knowledge she acquired, and with Vincent's , she ditched secretarial school in order to study Archeology in Oxford. The class had perhaps one other female student, and the doubts on her made it a challenging environment both socially and academically. But Marge was never one to let herself be taken aback. Amidst her time in University, she met one Peter Weston, who after a drunken night and a few weeks, would come to be known as a blithering arsehole- and the father of her daughter. Her parents encouraged her to drop school and take care of her child at home, but as said, she was too stubborn and determined for that. She had her daughter still in school and continued her studies, Victoria staying mostly with her grandmother during the day. At a certain point, the old man, who she had come to know as a friend, ed away. It was sad, but not unexpected. What *was* unexpected, was that he had left his entire - and quite significant- inheritance to her. She sold his house and guarded the money, selling all but the books in the library and finally purchasing her own place to move away from her parents house.

Marjorie ended up graduating Oxford with honors and an offer- one of her professors was heading on a very interesting expedition to Peru, and invited her to be on the team. It was a great opportunity and an amazing start to her career, so naturally, she said yes. The expedition lead them to ancient ruins, where they were supposed to document anything that might be of interest to their hirer- however, nothing was ever simple. As they walked further and deeper inside, something inside the ruins pushed back. In a wall of crystals, a certain rock seemed to have a different glow, attracting the ones around it to it. A colleague attempted to touch it, but as Marge reached to stop him, he ended up pushing her away, and she collided straight into the rock. There was a loud sound, a blast, and she ed out. All she knew when she woke up was that her entire crew seemed to have died in the strange explosion - had been pulverized, actually- and she was the sole survivor. Strange marks appeared on her forearms and she knew, deep inside, something was different. She could feel the ground and the walls around her deeper than the eye could see.

As she returned from the ruins, her story was quick to spread worldwide, attracting some interesting people of a rising organization called SHIELD. Under their invitation to work with them, she took Victoria and moved to America, ready to deeper research into what happened to her and take a look at what other things seemed to be happening around. What SHIELD had to offer.

                  ↳a job she had to take on mostly after her father's pressures but nothing she ever wanted, and dropped it the second she left university.

               ➥ Archeologist

                 ↳ her life's ion as she found, which culminated in a quite successful expedition to Peru. Even as she doesn't have any true formal employment in the area she still engages in it and can be called an Archeologist.

               ➥ Shield Agent

                  ↳ as Shield was inaugurated, both her and her brother were hired for their exceptional talents and knowledge. As a new world had been introduced to her after the incident in Peru, she agreed, curiosity ever so strong that she just had to know what else was there and how her talents could be applied.
