oc creation process | bastronaut ♡

hello everyone! just dropping in to drop a few doodlez of my oc, mircalla. these are over the course of her design process. i will have more information about her in her wiki, which i will be posting very soon if you're interested.

this was the first drawing i did, and the first concept. mircalla is both a vampire and an astronaut, so i wanted to incorporate some elements from both those things. hence the ugly corset and thigh-high boots lolll

from there i decided to draw her as many times as i could. for these ones i drew her first on paper, then went over those drawings digitally. i wanted to get very use to drawing her and see how she evolved over each iteration.

here's a simple headshot. she's so pretty <3

from here i decided i didn't like the skin tight look so much, and gave the clothes some more shape.

and i liked that a bit so i leaned a bit more into the space suit idea. i gave her helmet some bat ears which looked a bit stupid lmao

literally halfway through the last one i was struck with some inspiration. rather than having the ears on the helmet, they'd be put on a hood that went over the helmet.

this is my favorite one so far. so i adjusted the colors a bit and drew her again.

i like this a lot. i'll probably tweak the colors a bit but i'd say she's just about done!
