No wiki's available yet, but I would love to bring along my own interpretation of the X-men. I have a whole apocalyptic version of them in mind that puts them in a survival wasteland where their mutant abilites don't serve as much help.

It's been too long...

Way too long.

She was supposed to be back by now, and Remy was panicking as he paced through the little shack they called a shelter. He hadn't heard a peep from Anna, which was frightening given the state of the world now. She should have been home in his arms by now, yet it was cold without her bright smile. The worst was all he could think of without that southern accent lulling his fears to sleep and holding him as though he were the last being alive in the arms of a goddess. She was his light, but also what grounded him in times of tragedy, yet no sounds crackled through the radios.

Gambit was one of the lucky few who didn't have to stress too much, but Rogue? Oh, Rogue would contract the curse like it was nothing. It was as if it was crafted specifically to take her away from him, and that terrified him more than anything else. The man was panicked, frenzied even, yet it was the clatter of the front door that really made his blood run cold.

"Chere," the Cajun's voice croaked, swallowing emotions as he took cautious steps towards the woman who couldn't hardly stay on her feet. She seemed so fragile, but he knew what had happened as he examined her and took a breath, "You tried to help her, didn't you, chere?" His chest felt so hollow, and it only got worse as Anna raised her head to look at him, her vision swimming and thoughts slowly deteriorating. The southern woman gently nodded, tears pricking her green eyes that just seemed to highlight her new condition. Emeralds adorned her flesh, spanning from the left side of her face all the was down her neck and torso, crystalizing her entire left arm and leaving rigid gems that tore through her jeans along her left leg. The gems would only continue to spread like an illness until it had claimed its host, much like its other victims, and Anna was an unfortunate case with her abilities. "I'm sorry, Remy... I... I thought I could stop all o' this and... and take the curse for myself... I thought if I touched her and took her power... Maybe then the rest o' ya would be safe, but I... I-" words became hung in her throat as tears spilled, her body wracked with a sob of utter helplessness. As far as they knew it, this was a death sentence, but it was a death sentence Remy would accept any day as long as he would remain by her side.

Remy gently took her crystalizing face into his hands, cupping it like it was the most prized thing in his life. "Chere, you're still the most beautiful gal Remy ever did lay eyes on... And I assure you that Remy will fix this..." He spoke softly, laying a tender kiss upon her head before he would finish with,

"I promise..."

My storyline pitch, based on the snippet above, is an apocalyptic universe, but not like zombies or The Walking Dead. This is a universe that tests the limits of the mutants, as it's a world where their own abilities could make or break their living situation. An infection that is widespread and feasts upon stronger mutations and nullifies those that are weaker. How would the X-men thrive in a world where their own make is their own worst adversary? Bonds will be tested, lives at stake, strength will dwindle, and all in the name of survival until a cure can be found.

Why should we pick you?

I used to be an avid author, and this seems like a place that I might be able to thrive within. I have tons of ideas to bring to the table, and I am all for communicating ideas, collaborating with fellow writers, and creating beautiful stories together that inspire others. That's the purpose of art, no? To inspire and catch the eyes of those who view from the outside, and that's what I love! I want to create wonderous things that others will enjoy consuming with a group that shares the same idea!

Are you willing to post at least once a month?

Absolutely! Of course, if anything comes up, I will happily communicate if I may miss a deadline or need more time for a project. Communication is key, but I can most certainly meet the monthly marks!
