12 Days of Holidays | Day One

Welcome to Day One of 12 Days of Holidays! Today I'm here on behalf of #MACE to introduce our Holiday based challenge. Every day from December 21st to January 1st, MACE will be giving one prompt a day. It can be a holiday, it can be an element, but it's related to the many holidays taking place in December!

DAY ONE | CANDLES

Candles are very important in the holidays Kwanzaa, Yule, and Hanukkah. During Yule they are used to set up the altar, during Hanukkah they resemble the eight days oil created light for the Jews, and during Kwanzaa they represent the seven principles guiding Kwanzaa.

Writing Prompt : Write the lighting of the menorah in Marc Spector's childhood.

Art + Edits Prompt : Edit a character surrounded by the elements of a Yule altar.

Blogging Prompt : Describe what the candle symbolism in Kwanzaa would mean to Sam Wilson.

• Post must be on topic to Marvel as well as the prompt. If it is not, it will not be considered for prizes.

• You will have 24 hours to post. If your post is made after Day Two's prompt is released, at 1:00pm EST tomorrow, it will not be considered for prizes.
