The first Mobile Speaker I made

Now I share the first Mobile Speaker I made.

I made this one 2.5 Years ago, so it's an pretty easy but functional buildup. If weight doesn't matter I can recommend this.

Inside:

1 McGee 5€ 100Watt Speaker

1 Chinese Mono Amplifier from eBay (back in the days it was listed for 22€, now it's 8€), rated at 50W at 12V and 120W at 26V

1 12V 7,2Ah Battery, I have a lot of them laying around here, I get the for free when they are 1,5 Years old.

Some cables and connectors

Don't forget the Wood! I can't recommend to build it out of air.

And some Metal stuff (I don't know the name, the front of the Enclosure...)

___________

= ~ 40€ for everything

No Bluetooth and fancy shit! Just an Aux input and no volume control ^^ no need for that, I controlled it from my Smartphone / WavPlayer (Fu** MP3 tho).

I burned the Wood so it's easy to clean and doesn't need much work. And if it's break it's not a big loss. (It fell a lot of times but hold up all the time until I needed the amp for the MK2 version :) ) the front is finished with some oil (Hartöl for the floor)

It got pretty loud! You may think, yeah some China crap build in a cheap box of wood sounds bad, but it's not like this. I heard a lot of speakers (DIY and bought) and most of them are trash- Price range 30- 90€.

I used this thing for everything, chillin on the balcony, partying in the forest (okay, there is no bass at all... That's why I build an MK2 and the Thunder1- I'll post them one day). Grill and chill at the sea, it was perfect for everything- mostly... This thing was heavy as shi*, I carried it in my backpack.

At the time I build this thing I was really Proud, but now I would do things really differently with the same components. Like different wood and better connections- to charge the battery I had to remove the backplate...

Maybe I would have build one enclosure for the speaker and one for the Amp and Battery. So it's like a mini Soundsystem Rack ^^

I'll post the MK2 (it's in an old AEG Suitcase with the bigger speaker and 24V) and the Thunder1 2.1 Speaker for better Soundquality and some Bass. The Thunder Series is not Portable at all, I still power it with 12 Volt but you can't carry it alone.

I already plan the Thunder2 but I don't give any info now :)

Thanks for reading!
