O darn this will be cool as heck. Are you going to use somesort of nozzle in order to make the gas stream more narrower?
It's a tube with slits in the side for the gas to escape

Ive seen two types of lightsaber, one uses a blue 445nm laser thats between 1 and 2 watts, the other one uses methanol that is propelled by butane
Youtube is good for inspiration
I have seen the methanol one thtas fucking cool as heck
I already did a laser type thing but it was a gun rather than a sword and the methanol one was cool but impractical.
