You don’t have to go out of your way to stream the MV on Naver
Literally go to any other popular artists videos and you’ll find that the views are significantly less than their YouTube views, but they still manage fine
Ex BTS averages between 1-2 Million views on their naver tv videos compared to the hundreds of millions they get on YouTube.

while it's true that both count, shouldn't naver also kind of count since it reflects more the domestic audience than the intl?
They both count, but it’s not like one is weighted more than the other in this case.
The only benefit to streaming the MV on Naver is that if enough people watch it there it could possibly trend, but since the things that normally trend are related to tv shows this would be pretty hard.
In general for official music videos in South Korea, YouTube is more widely used. For live broadcast performances it’s naver (because all the broadcasting YouTube channels are blocked in South Korea)

besides it’s taking our focus away from streaming on yt :((
