What have we gotten ourselves into

Guess who's back. Back again. Tell all your friends. Yes that's right it's me kai back again with another RJ blog. So, you've read the title. You've seen the teaser. You know what this is.

:trophy: THE RAA2019 :trophy:

Yes that's right, we're doing our own awards show! For all you gamers who were disappointed by the VGA's fear not, this will have 100% less green day and at least 3% more entertainment.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING

So, to give it the feel of an actual awards show, we decided to nominate people ourselves and then let the community vote or choose the winner ourselves while taking community into consideration. Yes, it would have been nice to let the community nominate HOWEVER, please know that this event is run by 3 people, 2 of which are students in college and the other is busy prepping stuff for college. We nominated ourselves so that we'd keep it to 5 nominees, thus making the voting easier (since it's done through polls). Anymore and we'd either have to split up the polls which could cause confusion or used a Google docs form to vote which also would've taken more time.

Another thing to is that it's for fun. If you weren't nominated, it doesn't mean we don't think you're talented. Again, we tried to keep it to just 5. We also tried to keep personal biases out. The people running it aren't nominated for anything (except Jackie who's nominated for one and I think it's an obvious one). We tried not to repeat and keep our friends out of this.

Bonus Award: Survival of the Shade

This award is purely fun and games for our friend group! We have put together 24 of our friends (and Ricardo as per MY request) in a Hunger Games simulation and battle each other. Who will win?

That brings us to the end of the categories and nominees. We hope you're all as excited as we are to bring you the winners! Again, please , this is all for fun and if people like this, we plan on maybe expanding this to include much more!

As for now, feel free to comment your winners, improvements to the show, thoughts, feelings and well anything you want. The voting polls will be up soon so stay on the lookout for those.
