I say get a shortcut for your aminos. Tap and hold on a community and click make a shortcut. It'll show as a separate app without the stories

amino doesn't show me stories so idk, sorry

not really a fix, but i just search for the amino on my homescreen and it takes me straight to the community

I use an old version of Amino that seems to work perfectly for me... If you get fed up, you may want to go back to an older version of Amino. I use 2.0.24540. One method is here: https://www.technipages.com/android-downgrade-app
