While the other two warnings were more directly connected to safety, this blog is more about a current even that has happened and the movement it affects. HOWEVER, there are two reasons I wanted to bring this to attention as well:
1. Because issues like this are constantly overlooked by society, and for me to report on the other two issues but not this one would feel to me like I’m doing the same thing.
2. This DOES correlate to safety. All of our Mixers of color are in danger of this exact thing happening to them. And while we can’t directly protect any of you from racism by telling you to private social media or not watch fancams, we can help protect you by raising our voices together and proving we won’t stand for this.
Equality is also something very important to Little Mix, and it’s something they have talked about in the past.
This blog will be talking about George Floyd, racism, and the black lives matter movement. This does include mentions of violence and some descriptions of violence. So if you don’t want to see read them, what you need to know is that racism and using power to be racist is not ok. And when you see racism to speak up and say something about it.

What’s going on?
Here I’m going to be sumarizing information from this amazing person
A man whose name is George Floyd was murdered by 4 police men. One of them was kneeling on his neck and he was telling them he couldn’t breath. The “crime” that he was being “arrested” for was writing a faulty check.
Obviously this has caused outrage because there was no reason for this man to die, nor was there a reason for such force to be delivered to him. This has sparked the #BlackLivesMatter movement to protest this treatment and demand justice, that the police officers involved be fired and do time.

Why is this posted here?
Because if spreading this and getting justice is able to create a safer world for Mixers to live in, it’s worth it. I also felt wrong posting safety blogs about the other two topics and not mentioning this, because racism is often glossed over by media until it can’t hide it anymore.
I’m sorry for making so many of these blogs, I just really want all of you to be safe and ok. Hopefully I don’t have to make anything like this again.
