LGBT CHALLENGE - EXAMPLE

Hello hello, everyone! It’s Phoebe, your editor curator, here with another blog! Today I will be doing an example of our very first challenge!! 🥳

1. Which experiences did you make, as member of the LGBT+ Community, in your family?

The first experience that popped into my head was when my mom took me to see Love, Simon on my 15th birthday. She and I both cried at that movie. haha And then i saw it a second time with my siblings and my grandmother. My siblings enjoyed the movie, although they’re all straight, and my grandma fell asleep and was snoring really loudly.

2. Which experiences did you make, as member of the LGBT+ Community, in your country?

I when i was on my 8th grade trip to Washington, d.c., there was a pride festival going on. Mind you, that was 2017 right after Trump was elected. I just thought that was kinda funny. But that’s not the point I thought it was very cool going around and seeing all the people representing the LGBT+ community. I really wanted to be a part of it but y’know school trip gotta stay with my people.

3. Do you have any tips for coping with negative experiences, that someone made because of being a part of the LGBT+ Community?

As a victim of bullying and cyber bullying, all i can say is just ignore what people say about you. You’re perfect just the way you are and i love you :heart:
