1) Introduce yourself in brief along with strengths and weaknesses.
I go by the name of Mariposa, I would say my weaknesses are that I prefer to stay pretty private online when possible because I'm very careful with what I share online which can stop me from being as social as I would like sometimes. But my strengths are I have empathy and kindness towards people who are having a hard time and I'm good at listening to people when they need help.
2) Why you'd like to be a curator and what you can offer to the team and makes you different from others? Why should we choose you?
I would offer my best to help keep the community safe while I am online. I'm not about to compare myself to anyone and say why you should choose me over anyone else. It's about lifting people up; not bringing anyone down. If you choose me I want it to be because you think I'm capable. Not because I'm good at making myself look the best :blush:
3) Do you have any prior leader or curator experiences?
I do not. I am willing to learn.
4) Have you ever broken a community guideline? If yes, explain briefly.

Scenarios
╰─➤ 1) You are the only one online. There has been a small swarm of trolls that have just entered the community. One is spamming the feed and the other spamming chats with innapropriate content. What is your course of action?
I would start by muting the person in the chat or muting the chat if nessecary because it is the place where most people would be seeing content immediately and would be the most distressing. I would call on another curator or leader if available to help as it's about containment as soon as possible not about getting the most reports. If I cannot get help I would do my best to get both situations under control as soon as I can.
╰─➤ 2) You have disabled a post for being considered as spam. They are not happy and are starting to harass you and call you names. How do you handle the situation?
I apologise for the inconvenience, link the guidelines and I offer them an opportunity to fix their post. But I will not tolerate abuse and if I am being treated badly I will talk to a leader privately to further assess the situation
╰─➤ 3) You are moderating a chat/post, and you see an altercation between 2 or more . What's your course of action?
Try and solve/diffuse the situation calmly or get a second opinion if I fail to do so. It really depends on how bad the situation is I guess!
╰─➤ 4) A member is asking for your help with a situation in their PMs about someone asking innapropriate things. They have evidence to their claim. What do you do?
I make sure the person in question is breaking the guidelines before I do anything. If they are I warn them or if it is severe enough I take it to a leader to ban them. I offer the person reporting as much and help as I can.
╰─➤ 5) What would you do if you had a fight with another curator?
I wouldn't as I'm a pretty quiet person and keep to myself when I can but if it did happen I would apologise for any misunderstanding and speak to a leader for advice on how to diffuse the situation quietly.

Apologise and move on. Because it's not worth fighting about. If I absolutely needed to I would speak to another Leader about it for advice on how to diffuse the situation quietly if I am not the one at fault and am spoken to innapropriately but Leaders are chosen for their ability to be professional in all situations so I highly doubt that would happen.
╰─➤ 7) What would you do if a member has been posting about sensitive, triggering topics?
I would ask them to add a clear trigger warning and maybe a blank image as the cover if the image inside the content is triggering as well but isn't breaking guidelines.
╰─➤ 8) You get a report about member of staff abusing their power. How would you approach this situation?
I would speak to a Leader quietly and not make any accusations without solid proof.
╰─➤ 9) You see a chat/post with people saying negative things about staff/a certain staff member, do you do?
I would ask them to stop if it is in a chat and warn them quietly and privately or if in a post I would take appropriate action such as hiding the post and telling them why. If it escalates then I notify a leader.
╰─➤ 10) You see a curator leaking sensitive information to a member. What do you do?
Notify a leader immediately with proof of the leak and the link of the leaking the information.
