Why didn’t you leave ?

You could have walked out

of that door any moment

you wanted to. but you chose

to stay with us, was it because

we were your family ? or was

it because you’d have

regret leaving if you had.

while ofcourse she never stayed,

Mom would walk out of that door

the chance she got. she knew

she couldn’t drive but that didn’t

stop her from leaving us. She’d

always complained about living

under the same roof as us, how

we were to much. and how we

treated her badly. it wasn’t true

though, You were there dad.

everytime she left, you’d make

sure we were okay. ofcourse

she always came back,

we got use to it by than.

I never understood it, When

you got upset you’d leave yes

but not the same way she left.

i’d only witnessed it once or

twice when you left, She always

got mad when you did do that.

That’s what i didn’t get, She

was able to leave but you

weren’t ? It made me upset

that was how she thought.

i never wanted her home to be

honest, they way she was made

me feel alone. but when you got

home from work, you’d make my

day better. seeing you and you

Reassuring me that everything

will be okay in the end.

You made me feel safe,

Maybe that’s why you didn’t leave.
