What is the best way to come out as Trans to friends?

Hi, so I really want to come out to my friends and I have a really good opportunity to do it this weekend but I'm just not sure how. I don't know how to phrase it or explain that I'm Transgender in a way I know they'll understand or even just how to bring it up in conversation. I'm sure they'll be understanding if a bit disbelieving at the start but I don't know how to get to that point. Please help even if its only to write down your own experiences in the comments. Thank-you so much :grinning:

Generally, if I don't make a big deal about it, other people don't tend to either because it makes them seem like an asshole.

If you can have one person there with you who knows and s you, they can turn a group around if things don't go well. Someone who can stand up for you and be respectful can set the example for others.

I've come out to possibly over a hundred people and there haven't really been any negative experiences except others feeling a bit awkward because they don't understand but not being intentionally rude or mean

Thank-you :grinning: I'll keep that in mind. Thankfully I have a few lgbt+ friends that I know will be ive that I can rely on its just the ones that aren't and are in a completely separate group I worry about but as you said I have someone who can stand by me and me if things get awkward. Thanks again for replying!!
