So, for a musical my class is writing, one of the characters is lgbt(not something specific, just generally so it can be relatable to all lgbt people) and basically they are hanging out with some friends, and they're trying to sort of drop hints and test the water before they come out, which they're planning to do later that night.
So, can you comment some subtle ways someone might suggest they're lgbt? It can be references, things they say or do, anything that would be recognizable. Thanks for the help!

I don't know what orientation your LGBTQ+ character is, but at least for asexuals, some people wear a black ring as a subtle sign they're ace! Alternatively wearing clothing or accessories featuring flag colors has a similar effect
one thing some people like to do is make drawings/paintings with their flags on them. for example, i’m lesbian and i found some nice lesbian flag-themed wallpaper a while ago. subtle but fun.
if they’re just lgbt in general rainbows would be an obvious approach.
additionally i play “girls” by girl in red very, very loudly. it’s fun.
