Troye Sivan was born 5th June 1995, and lived in Johannesburg South Africa. But moved to Australia when he was two and he began his YouTube channel at the age of 12, soon gaining popularity on his channel, through singing and going onto Australia’s talent competition. He made his acting debut at age 14, acting in well known movies such as X-men Origins: wolverine in 2009 and then was in the movie 2010 comedy Spud!

Troye Sivan is a songwriter, singer, actor and Internet personality.

Troye Sivan came out on his YouTube channel on 7th August 2013 as Gay! He came out to his family three years before.

1) He speaks out and spreads awareness on the issues of the homeless in the LGBTQ+ youth

2)He has spoken and dealt with misconceptions HIV and AIDS.

(he worked with the company Durex Australia for 7 years)

3) Having more LGBTQ+ visibility in his music videos, such as “wild”, “talk me down” and “fools” show the story between the secret romance between two male teens.
