Thunderstorms

Thunderstorms rages outside

As I hide away in my room

Scared of what's out there

And the storm inside my head

I am scared of the unknown

How we are at mercy to mother nature

Twisted and shredded like a piece of rope in the wind blown

With nothing left but our insanity and our soul

After the storm, the trees are green

Flowers bloom and the sun shines

No longer harsh but beautiful and warm

We have won, it can be seen

Now, let's keep walking

On this treacherous path that is life

Together, we can make this happen
