Hello Everyone!

For those of you unaware, my name is Bim and my pronouns change but they/them is always fine! And in this post, I’ll be doing another fun challenge!

In this challenge, you pick a favorite video game and answer questions about it! Although, I don’t really have a favorite game specifically, but I do have a favorite genre of game! So I’ll answer these questions on that instead! So let’s get started!

The Questions

Disclaimer: since I’m answering these questions about a genre instead of a specific game, I have changed the wording of the questions just a little bit :)

What is your favorite genre of game?

-My favorite genre is RPG maker horror games! I’ve actually planned to post about these for a while now, but I never got around to it. It is in my drafts, so maybe soon!! But RPG maker horror games are pixelated type games that are scary. I’ve always loved the visual style of them and how most of the games were so story oriented!

How long have you been playing games of this genre?

-For a very long time. I don’t exactly when I started, but I estimate I’ve been playing for around seven or eight years now.

What do you like about this genre?

-I love how story oriented they are. A lot of horror games tend to rely on jump scares or creepy visuals, but the pixelated style of the games makes it hard to have visuals that really scare people. So the fear is usually entirely on the context of the story. I also love when games like this have more than one ending so the story is different depending on how you play!

What would you say to others who want to get into this genre?

-It is really awesome! But keep in mind that some of the stories are really disturbing and can be triggering to some people. So be careful what games you play! Some of my favorites are Mad Father, Ib, and The Witches House!

Is this genre multiplayer? Do you play with others?

-I haven’t seen any RPG maker horror games that are multiplayer but maybe there’s some out there somewhere!
