Tattoo Design Challenge Entry

Welcome to my little challenge entry.

I when I saw the post and deadline I had to get to drawing immediately as I will be out of the country all week and wouldn't have time otherwise.

Because I watched entirely way too much Ink Master and similar shows I love the art of tattooing. I also have great respect for tattoo artists that work their ass off to give people permanent works of art.

However I do not have any tattoos and I don't believe I'll ever get any. Not because I don't like them but I change my style and aesthetic almost daily so I stick to drawing on myself with markers.

Anyway, that's not why you're here.

So here is my art:

What does your tattoo mean to you?

I wanted to do a bat because they have been my favourite animal ever since I can . My favourite plushy as a kid was a bat I got from our national "bat protection foundation". While drawing I went ahead and added some little satanic elements to make it more than just a bat and a moon. But mostly the whole piece is purely for aesthetic, because I don't believe in the "your tattoo NEEDS to have a meaning" thing.

Where would your tattoo be?

I tried to give it a shape that would suit the shoulder and could easily fit with anyy on the chest and other side.

How long do you think the tattoo would take?

I'm not a tattoo artist nor have I gotten one. A blind guess would be 5h

How much do you think it would cost to have done?

Same answer as before, my random guess here is 1000$. I'm going off the 5h times the 200CHF that my local tattoo shop charges an hour.
