Special Interest

The days and I still can’t help but ire the things you do.

I’m an adult and still idolize you like I’m a little kid.

Sometimes I wonder why my mind chose you, out of all of the people.. you.

You’re not super famous, you’re not ground breaking, there was nothing you did.

At first I thought it was a phase. But days turned to weeks and weeks into months.

In my mind, you were always in the front.

The months ed and you’re still at the forefront of my mind.

I thought you’d fade out, leave my head. But you’re still here, making me blind.

They say that I’ll never meet you, and I don’t doubt I won’t.

But the possibility of ever getting noticed by you makes me feel less alone.

While I may be pushy, or even intense. Some may even say belligerent.

But when it comes to you, you’re my favorite special interest.
