I was going to make an entire post about this, but I don’t feel like doing that lol. But yeah, I’m curious as to y’all’s opinion on queerbaiting and how this has become such a huge issue.

I personally feel like people just complain to be complaining. Yes, I’m sure there’s instances of queerbaiting that’s actually proven, but people call everything queerbaiting. It’s annoying. Assuming someone’s sexuality is NEVER okay, and calling everything you see queerbaiting is doing just that.

Not everyone feels the need to come out or shout from the rooftops about what their sexuality is. Sexuality is a personal thing. The whole “people are straight until said otherwise” mentality is stupid. If I was a celebrity, I just know that someone would accuse me of queerbaiting without knowing what my sexuality is. Apparently, I look straight. That’s also stupid to think. Sexuality has no specific look.

I just don’t understand how it’s okay for two people of the opposite sex to act sensually but when it’s two people of the same sex people automatically make it into a queerbaiting issue. It makes no sense. It can’t make sense to anyone. If the people involved has actually stated that they’re straight then it’s understandable to feel that way.

But yeah, maybe I’m missing the true issue. That’s why I don’t understand peoples reactions sometimes.

So, the question for this poll is, do you think that people call things “queerbaiting” at inappropriate times?

Idk. Honestly I didn't even know what queerbaiting was until I looked up the meaning. I've personally never seen it.
