It's your co-agent leader Dean, coming to you with a PSA I promised to post, regarding our latest Post.

Of course, this topic is not only relevant on amino. You can encounter these people everywhere, at any given time, no matter how safe the platform you are currently using claims to be. Here on LGBT+ amino, we do our best to immediately ban and remove s who have sexual intentions, especially when their interest focuses on minors.

In order for us to do that, we need you, our , to report these people to us. As leaders and curators, we are NOT able to read your private messages. In the following images, I'll explain what you need to look out for, and how you can report people who make you uncomfortable.

I'm glad I'm an adult now so I'm not too worried about myself even though I'm still careful. But I was a victim of an online predator back when I was 14 and it was on snapchat. I deleted my snapchat and never touched the app. Now that I'm an adult I'm more careful and I only allow people I know personally to friend me on snapchat and I still limit which people I know personally too, so not everyone I know personally has me as a friend on snapchat.

i encountered one a few years ago- and i couldn’t understand how they could insert themselves into th e lgbt community bc child isn’t a gender

Like this post, I believe that most, if not all past PSA links (at least the most important and relative ones) should be put together within a post Pinned to the Homepage like the (Gen Apps) and LGBT+ Amino Staff so they are easier and more visible to access at any given time so that more of the community feel safe and actually heard all the way. Though, this is just a suggestion since it could help show how much Staff is trying to put in an effort of making things better for many on Amino, as stated in a previous post.
