• Hello, everyone. I'm Sentinel, and this is my

entry for the #PrideProfile2022 challenge. For

my entry, I've used the palette of the bisexual

flag for my visual entries and the concept of

bisexuality for the biography.

I used Sun Wukong from LEGO: The Monkie

Kid as the main character for this theme.

How did you find out you're LGBT?

Discovering I was LGBT was a difficult process.

I had started to gravitate towards feeling attrac-

tion to men when I was about 10 or 11. I didn't

know that I could like both girls and boys, though,

so I immediately assumed I was gay (after doing

some research). There were a lot of tears for the

next couple of years, though, even after discov-

ering the term bisexual. I wanted to be an ideal

child to my parents (who luckily aren't incredibly

religious), and I felt like they wouldn't like me if

they discovered my identity and such.

I discovered I was transgender quite recently ac-

tually, in around May of 2021. Since 2020, I used

he/they pronouns because I was apathetic towa-

rds being referred to neutrally. However, I then

came to with the realization that I held a

preference towards they/them, so I officially came

out to my friends as genderfluid, using they/them

primarily and experimenting with xenos such as

xe/xem, ae/aer, etc. as well as trying she/her.

2021 saw a lot of changes occur in my identity.

I used genderfluid, agender, genderflux, libra-

masculine, neutrous, maverique, and genderfaun

all in that year, and finally landed on agender in

November 2021, which I've used since.

I have not come out to any of my family, and I

have no plans on doing so in the near future.

Few people in real life know I'm LGBT at all.

Why did you our community?

I ed this community because I wanted to find

people with different experiences of being LGBT

than me. With over a million , this com-

munity has become extremely diverse and, even

though I haven't been here for an incredibly long

amount of time, I feel like this community has tre-

ated me well (even though I'm terrified of all of

the public chats, lol.) Anyways, a few others rea-

sons were to share my interest in graphics, as I

love to experiment with pride flags and their sha-

des, designs, etc. I suppose it's strange, but who

really cares?

Why did you pick these images/theme?

Since it's my profile theme, I wanted to make it

bisexual themed. I didn't want to appropriate by

using the flag of a separate group, so I chose to

stick to my own identity! :)

The reason I chose Sun Wukong as my theme was

because he's one of my favorite characters in me-

dia (at the moment, at least). I also personally

headcanon him as bisexual.

The lyrics in the bio are from a song titled "boy bi"

by Mad Tsai. They're about the struggles of co-

ming to with being bisexual, paired with the

initial confusion of being attracted to both gen-

ders. These lyrics replicate my initial discovery of

being bisexual rather accurately, hence why I used

this song.

Why did you choose that bio?

I've already explained why I chose that song, but

the reason I picked a song in the first place is be-

cause I feel like songs, and music as a whole, is

incredibly versatile and carries depth to it. I belie-

ve one can write many different songs about str-

uggles, hardships, pleasures, etc. within a song

and have it be beautiful in composition, hence

why I love music so much. Therefore, I chose to

use music to personalize my bio a bit more.

How would your ideal pride parade look?

I don't know.

A pride parade is supposed to be enjoyed by

everyone there. If I controlled a parade to my own

desires, I think I would feel a bit selfish. Additio-

nally, I have never been to a pride parade (for ob-

vious reasons) and I don't even know how one

functions, so I can't truthfully answer this ques—

tion. Sorry!
