Prevalence of Inequality

Hello everyone!

Today I would like to talk about something that was pointed out in the weekly youth group I attend. Equality.

Although governments have gone a long way to help and protect the rights and needs of the LGBTQ+ community, I still feel like we haven’t gotten far enough.

Now, I was quite lucky because when I was in a same sex relationship I wasn’t really judged or ridiculed for who I was with. (Unless it was at school or with my family, which wasn’t often).

But there are other people, trans,gay, bi, lesbian people etc, that are facing hate comments, glares, dirty looks and just nasty people! And it really bothers me!

There are the good, the bad and the ugly!

I just hope that in days, months and years to come that this changes for our community.

Well I finally got to wear a suit instead of a dress to my vocal contest, and very few people approached me because of it, and I even got insulted. Although, I was dressed better than half of the guys there.
