Poem 9#: Our pride.

We are who we are, no one can take that away.

It may be hard, and it's easy to lose our way.

But we are strong, we are grand.

United we speak in one tongue, and we will take our stand.

They can shower us with hate.

But our unyielding determination will never break.

Our pride they can shun.

But at some point in every darkness, rises the sun.

We are acceptance, we are love.

With endurance, and patience, we will rise above.

We are what they fear, we are change.

We will fight through all the tears, so our kids can see better days.
