Dear, Asher
You are brave for trying to figure out your own personal truths. Not just what your father tells you, you need to be. But still wanting to stay Catholic while doing so. It's important to stay true to yourself, in any way possible, and your identity is a Catholic member of the LGBT community. It's possible that people from both sides will be violent towards you for not choosing one side. But there are also many more on both sides that won't. So just hold on to the hope that no matter where you go, you will have friends by your side. Being Demi sexual and bisexual is hard for some people to understand as people sexualised pretty much everything. And people think that Bisexuality is a faze to grow out of. And choosing to be gender queer currently preferring to be unlabeled or fluid. Just that you don't have to fit stereotypes in order to fit in that community. You just have to feel like you are at home there. And if you don't feel safe to come out to certain family . Just don't invite them into that part of your life. Also, I you feeling at the beginning, that as you were no longer in highschool you were too old to question. But 20 is not too old especially considering that some question in their 40s. At the end of the day, just that God loves you no matter what you are, and what you do.
Love,
Asher
PS. Happy first Pride month as more than just an ally.
