My Feature cult application

Okay, so I have finally decided to put in an application for the feature team after debating with myself for a while if I would be able to do justice to this role. Well, there's only one way to find out..so...here goes nothing!!!

As for when I am generally online I have no such fixed routine owing to my very erratic sleep schedule.

Offers good insights on a subject of health that is sometimes considered a taboo to talk about.

Informative post by cuteness.overload

Although this article uses mostly pictures, it is on a relavant subject and very well put together. Also offers proper credits for its sources. Only suggestion to author would be to mention that the links are for credits to sources.

Aesthetic informative post by Oblivion

A very aesthetically appealing article on something that most of us would not be informed about. Beautifully done and informative. Again, credits mentioned at the end of the post is a plus.

2. What do you think makes a post feature worthy?

Firstly the content, May or may not be related to LGBT+ community but content related to the community are definitely a plus. Anything that shares any kind of information or art with community for example. Aesthetics and ease of reading also play a very important part.

3. Most importantly, why do you want to be a part of this team?

Ever since I ed this community I have felt that it is the blog posts, challenges, chronicles etc. that make this Amino what it is. Feature page is what you see first as a culmination of the best we have to offer. I would be glad and honoured to be contributing to this in any way I can.

4. If you see a post that might be feature worthy but isn't quite there yet, how would you proceed with fixing it?

Message the author and offer suggestions as to edits that can be made to make the post more feature worthy. This could include suggestions to change font or use of text separators for ease of read or suggestions to make it more aesthetically appealing if required.

5. What types of blogs, in your opinion, do you not feature?

Including but not limited to ,:

1) Personal opinions that could attract debate

2) Self promotional or attention seeking posts

3) Any kind of hate triggering or gate-keeping posts

Etc.

6. How would you handle a post that could be triggering?

Firstly, if the post carries an appropriate trigger warning, right at the start of the post. If not, message the author to add it in.

Secondly, if I feel the need I would request the author to moderate the trigger content, after probably discussing the same with fellow feature team .

7. What do you do if a member doesn't respond to your offer for featuring their post?

I would try to follow up with them once and if there is still a lack of response I would prefer to move on.
