Hello again LGBT+ Amino, it’s your fellow lesbian here. Happy Pride Month to you all! Today, I’m presenting to you my entry for the Music For Pride Challenge. Without any further ado, let me show you what song I have chosen.

For my entry, I have chosen the song girls by girl in red. It has been one of my favourite songs for ages now (I’m currently listening to it on a loop) and I love it so so much.

”They’re so pretty, it hurts. I’m not talkin’ bout’ boys, I’m talkin’ bout’ girls.”

This song is about how pretty girls are and about realising your sexuality. It features some of the thoughts you can have when coming to with your sexuality, “I should be into this guy but it’s just a waste of time” and the lyrics are cute and quite uplifting to me.

”I love who I love.”

The artist, girl in red also known as Marie Ulven, has made countless songs about liking girls and is an idol for many young teens (like myself) to show that it’s okay to be gay. She’s down to earth and inspirational to me.

”This is not a phase.”

I chose this song because it’s a song that cheers me up and it’s also helped girls come to with their own sexuality and they’ve used it as guidance.
