Hugo and Luna

Hugo and Luna are two little calves that I helped raise as part of animal studies course. This was the first time I really had been around cattle of any kind and up close. After working with them I started to absolutely love cows and wanted to do more work with them, this lead me to do the agriculture course the following year.

Sterling

Sterling was my first ever show cattle. He is a breed call a Murray grey. He was so gentle and patient when iw as working with him and never step a foot out of line. Absolutely perfect in everyway and made me fall in love with the cattle showing sport.

Carol

Carol is a Charolais heifer and was the first cow I lead for my team. She was the heifer I used to get into the team by showing them how well I could lead and the potential I had. She was a dream for me those past few days and went really well in her class

Highness

Highness was my first official heifer in the team that I was given to lead. She was quite a stubborn thing and wanted to do what she wanted. She was sweet when she liked to. She is also a Charolais heifer and I tell you the amount of times her coat needed to be cleaned before a show even with all the precautions you took to make her stay clean.

Swift

Swift was definitely my most challenging show animal. She had alot of spirit to her and wanted it know she wanted to be in charge. Shed constantly head butt you and charge towards you. She was an Angus heifer donated to us and I could see why they wanted her gone she was quite a handful. Tho I kept working with her and in the end she ended up the cuddliest thing and loved to give 'kisses'. She ended up weighing about 500+ kgs by the time she got to the show.

Vinnie

Vinnie is my most recent show animal and he's such a goofball. Very sweet and loves the attention. Id constantly have to get him to stop chewing on his lead rope while halter training him and the other cows ears out in the paddock. He grew quite a reputation as the 'jumper' while walking him. He would randomly stop walking while on the halter then just jump at you and continue to walk like nothing happened

Maggie and Viviane

Maggie is one of the dairy cows I began to favourite at the farm. She always had to be last into the dairy and last back to the paddock for some unknown reason. She walked beside me heading towards the dairy going at her own pace and grabbing snacks of grass from the paddocks she ed by. After so many bull calves she finally gave me a heifer calf that I named Viviane. Viviane will now her mother in the herd when she's older
