Hey humans! Today I'll tell
you some information about
lucid dreams. I hope you can
learn something new. Have
fun reading.
☆━━━━━━━━ - ━━━━━━━☆

Lucid dreams are dreams,
where the dreamer gains
control about their dreams
And knows they're dreaming.
The dreamer could control
the dream characters, the
narrative and environment.

Reality testing
Reality testing is some kind
of mental training. Your me-
tacognoticion will be increa-
sed by training your mind to
notice your own awareness.
Your metacognition level is
similar in your waking and
dreaming sites. Higher me-
tacognition while awake can
lead to higher metacogni-
tion while sleeping.
Follow these steps several ti-
mes a day for reality testing:
• Ask yourself "Am I dreaming?"
• Check your environment to
confirm if you're dreaming
• Take notes of your awareness
and how you interact with your
surroundings.
Common reality checks :
• Check your reflection in a mirror
• Push your hand against solid
objects or push your fingers into
your opposite palm.
• Check if your hands look normal
• Look at the time, it will constantly
change if you're dreaming.
• Pinch your nose to see if you can
breath, if you can, you're dreaming
You should pick one of them and
repeat that one. It trains your mind
to repeat reality checks while dre-
aming. This may induce a lucid
dream.

Wake back to bed (WBTB)
WBTB involves entering REM
sleep while your still conscious.
There are many different types
of WBTB, but consider this
technique:
• Set an alarm for 5 hours after
you fall asleep
• Go normally to sleep
• Stay awake for 30 minutes
when the timer goes off
• Go back to sleep
After falling asleep, you'll be
likely to lucid dream. Do any
activity which requires full
alertness while you're awake.
The chances of lucid dream-
ing depends on the level of
alertness and not on the ac-
tivity itself.

Mnenomic induction of Lucid dreams (MILD)
MILD is the first scientific
technique to induce lucid
dreams. It was created in
1980 by LaBerge.
MILD is known as pros-
pective memory, which
includes planning to do
something in the future.
You set the goal to re-
member that you are
dreaming in MILD.
How to use the MILD
technique:
• Think of a recent dream
when falling asleep
• Try to figure out a "dream-
sign", something strange
or weird to find out if you
are dreaming (like flying)
• Try heading back to the
dream. Recognize that
the dreamsign only app-
ears while dreaming
• Recite the phrase "The
next time I dream, I want
to that I am
dreaming " in your head
You can also practice
MILD if you wake up in
the middle of the night.
This is recommended,
because the dream will
be fresher in your mind.
A combination of WBTB,
Reality testing and MILD
usually works the best.
By setting up an alarm
for five hours, you can
combine WBTB and MILD.
Practice moderate when
you're awake.

Keeping a dream journal
A dream journal is a pop-
ular method for initiating
lucid dreams. You have
to write down everything
that happened during the
dream. This technique is
helping you to recognize
dreamsigns and to en-
hance awareness of your
dreams.
You should note your dr-
eams right after waking
up for the best result. And
it is recommended to read
your dream journal often.
Wake-initiated lucid dreaming (WILD)
WILD happens if you dir-
ectly a dream from
waking life. Your body
stays conscious while
your body goes to sleep.
You'll need to lie down
and relax until you have
a hypnagogic hallucina-
tion, which is a halluci-
nation that happens right
before you fall asleep.
WILD is simple but hard
to learn. If you practice
the other techniques, you
will have a higher chance
to master WILD.

Try the following techniques
to wake up from lucid dreams:
• If you yell or speak out loud
it tells your brain to wake up
• If you blink repeatedly it may
help your mind to wake up
• Falling asleep in your dream
will wake you up in real life
• Reading signs or books in
your dream can active parts
in your brain that aren't active
in REM

You may think that lucid drea-
ming sounds fun and maybe
you wanna try it.
• Dreams that are vivid will
wake you up and make it
difficult to fall back to sleep.
And if you're too focused
on lucid dreaming, you mi-
ght have trouble sleeping.
• Lucid dreams can blur the
line between what is real
and what is imagined in pe-
ople with some mental health
disorders, which can lead to
confusion, delirium and ha-
llucination
»»————- - ————-««

But there are also some good
effects of lucid dreaming:
• Less anxiety. The sense of
control you experience during
a lucid dream can linger and
make you feel strong. You can
form the plot and ending until
you know you're in a dream.
This may be used as a Form of
therapy for people who suffer
from nightmares, showing them
how to manage their dreams.
• Better motor skills. Restricted
research indicates that by "pra-
cticing" during your lucid dream,
you may be able to develop ba-
sic skills like clicking your fing-
ers faster. If you visualize the
motions when awake or run thr-
ough them in a lucid dream, the
same portion of your brain be-
comes involved.
• Improved problem-solving. Re-
searchers discovered evidence
that lucid dreams can help pe-
ople solve problem involving i-
magination (such as dispute
with another person) rather than
logic (like math problems).
• More creativity. Some partici-
pants in lucid dream studies we-
re able to produce new ideas or
observations, often with the as-
sistance of characters in their
dreams.
