Kate Yup is a small Mukbang YouTuber with almost 400k subscribers,who is known for eating large quantities of (usually) seafood at a quick pace. She s very irregularly.
However, that is not exactly the full story of her channel. To know why so many people are talking about her as of lately, we need to take a look further in.
On June 21,2019 Kate had ed another mukbang video similar to her others. However, what stood out the most about this video to viewers was that Kate appeared to have 𝘣𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘴 on her arm and lip. This caused many of them to believe that she was being 𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥.
In fact, some even claimed that there was someone behind the camera forcing Kate to eat, and that their breathing could be heard. Others even claimed they could hear someone whispering different things behind the camera.
They even claimed that, while at some point she was tapping a bowl, she was trying to speak in morse code.
She also wears a blindfold. Some speculated this was to prevent her from being recognized, but some say that she wears this because of her “deformed” nose, and that she does not wish to be made fun of for it. Apparently she had some old videos in which she was not wearing the blindfold, but however took them down because people kept making fun of her nose.
And, to add insult to injury, she had capitalized some letters in her captions in a strange way, which spelled out SOS.
(If you happen not to know exactly what SOS means, it’s basically a stress signal, or as another definition by Google itself, an “urgent appeal for help”…)
Due to all of this, many began to theorize that someone was holding Kate hostage and not allowing her to eat for a very long time, and when she did eat, she was given a limited amount of time, which would explain the fast pace she eats at, and her irregular schedule.

If there is one possibility of this being true people should do something before it is too late.
If she is actually a hostage the person who keeps her may see these "theories" and make her make a video saying everything is ok.
But it’s still a conspiracy theory
A lot of these points have been debunked. That wasn't morse code. Has been proven it means nothing by people who actually know morse code. I'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing to garner attention though. It's almost like an ARG to her.
Some people have speculated that she might be suffering from an eating disorder, bulimia to be more specific. That's why she doesn't look healthy and why her teeth fell out. People suffering from bulimia have really bad teeth from the bile in their vomit and are prone to bruising from being malnourished.
It's okay to share stories like this, but just because a few people in the comments have shared theories, doesn't make them fact. Just be careful and mindful of what you read online and try to have an open mind about these things. Sometimes things aren't always what they seem at first glance.
