infestation — poem

i’m infested by

this hatred inside

of [my] mind

fueled by [you]

and your twisted views

i know i’ll never get [your] approval.

so why even try and fight?

it just makes it worse…

which is why I cry at night.

crying for [him].

praying to the void

hoping [he’ll] have the strength

to fight back.

don’t [you] see how much

this hurts {me}?

the constant judgement,

masks paraded

sickly sweet insults

that i’ll never hear

but i do.

i love [h i m].

why can’t you see that?
