Sup bitches
As per the rules, this entry contains 3 poems, with the prompts for each poem (respectively) being:
-Bad Apple
-Darkness
-Inner Beauty
So without further ado, let’s get the show started
(Also I suck at writing poetry but try to ignore that)
Bad Apple
Though I’ve been told to stay by your side,
Do or die,
It’s impossible when I have been tainted;
It’s impossible when I’ve become
Nothing but a canvas, on which
Something rotten’s been painted
And no matter your doubt,
I’m sure of one thing:
Without you, I’d have grown up
With an angel’s mouth,
But one bad apple poisons the bunch.
Darkness
I cannot see through the fog
Of the ebony midnight sky,
As I wander through the hellscape
Of an early-morning dream
And as I gaze up at the greying moon
With stained glass eyes,
Shattered eyes stare right back at me.
Inner Beauty
If you look close enough,
My flattened chest will have a hinge;
And a door left unlocked,
For those who want in
And behind that same door,
You may find a hall;
But halfway through, you will fall
Through a trapdoor dusted
With sugar and spice,
And once you’ve landed,
You’ll be in paradise
So even if my forehead’s big,
Even if I’m thin,
Please consider, if you may,
The beauty that lies within.
