For me it was after I spent 3 years on my own. That was until two of my friends, a girl and a guy, revealed they were interested in me. They are in a relationship, and I became someone in the middle, both sexually and romantically.
Eventually I figured out I'm polyamorous and I grew to adore those 2 deeply. The sexual relationship perpetuated but we preferred to remain just friends and I was really happy with it.
We still flirt and have made some nice plans ahahah
