It's one of those nights

High on meds and shit

Missing you like crazy

Not being able to get my fix

Running my fingers through grass

Earth so so cold and damp

I know exactly where you are

But I'm too big of a coward to follow

It's like we're alone in the world

Each of us on our own side of the grass

If I close my eyes and hold my breath

I can pretend I'm on your side too

When I take my glasses off I can't see the stars

You always used to tease me about that

And I said one day you won't be able to either

Oh how I wish I can take that back
