----🩷----

1) Introduce yourself in brief along with strengths and weaknesses.

Hi! I’m Andres, a calm, friendly, and highly observant person. I enjoy helping others and making spaces feel safe and welcoming. One of my biggest strengths is how seriously I take responsibility — I’m organized, fair, and always aim to be ive. A weakness of mine is that I sometimes overthink things, especially when I care a lot about getting things right, but I’m learning to balance that better.

2) Why would you like to be a curator and what can you offer to the team that makes you different? Why should we choose you?

I’d love to be a curator because I care deeply about safe spaces for the LGBT+ community — especially for those who are still figuring things out or going through hard times. I’m patient, respectful, and know how to handle difficult situations calmly. What makes me different is my ability to listen and read the room emotionally. I’m not just about rules — I’m about people. You should choose me because I will always show up with empathy, clarity, and a willingness to learn and improve.

----🩷----

3) Do you have any prior leader or curator experiences?

Yes! I’ve moderated and helped organize online spaces before — both in fandom and identity-based communities. I’m familiar with managing chats, handling conflicts, and making sure everyone feels heard and safe. I’ve also been part of volunteer teams, which helped me develop good communication and responsibility skills.

----🩷----

4) Have you ever broken a community guideline?

If yes, explain briefly.

Not intentionally. I believe in respecting guidelines and doing my part to keep the space healthy. If I’ve ever made a mistake in the past, I took ability and learned from it — I believe growth comes from listening and improving.

Scenarios

1) Trolls enter the community while you are the only one online.

I would stay calm and act quickly. I’d remove any inappropriate content, mute or temporarily ban the s involved if I have the permissions, and document everything with screenshots or links. Once other staff come online, I would report the incident with all the details so proper long-term action can be taken.

----🩷----

2) A member harasses you after you disable their post.

I would remain calm and avoid engaging in hostility. I would explain respectfully why their post was considered spam and refer to the guidelines. If the harassment continues, I would report it, block the member if necessary, and inform higher staff with documentation.

----🩷----

3) You see an altercation between 2 or more .

I’d step in and ask everyone involved to stop and follow the community rules. I’d try to de-escalate the situation and, if needed, temporarily mute or remove involved while reviewing what happened. I’d also keep records and report the incident to the rest of the staff.

----🩷----

4) A member reaches out privately with evidence of inappropriate behavior.

I would thank them for reaching out and take their concern seriously. I’d review the evidence and, if it clearly violates the rules, I’d take appropriate action (warn, mute, or ban the offending ), and inform the rest of the staff. I’d also check in on the reporting member to make sure they feel safe.

----🩷----

5) You have a fight with another curator.

I would try to resolve it privately in a mature and respectful way. Communication is key, and if we can't come to an agreement, I’d ask a leader to help mediate so we can move forward positively.

----🩷----

6) You have a fight with a leader.

I’d remain respectful and try to address the issue privately, focusing on solving the problem, not escalating it. If needed, I’d ask another leader or a higher-up to help resolve things fairly, always prioritizing the team and community’s well-being.

----🩷----

7) A member posts triggering or sensitive content.

I’d assess if the post follows community rules. If not, I’d disable it respectfully, and gently explain why. I’d offer or direct the member to appropriate resources or safe spaces if the community provides them. Sensitivity and care are essential in these situations.

----🩷----

8) You get a report about a staff member abusing their power.

I’d take it seriously and gather any available evidence. Without making assumptions, I’d report it to a leader with all the information I have, so it can be properly investigated. Transparency and fairness are very important in maintaining trust.

----🩷----

9) You see a post/chat with people talking negatively about staff.

If it’s disrespectful or toxic, I’d step in, remind s of the rules, and redirect the conversation. If it’s valid criticism, I’d listen, document the concerns, and share them with the appropriate staff so it can be addressed constructively.

----🩷----

10) You see a curator leaking sensitive information.

I would immediately document what I saw and report it to the leaders. Leaking private information is a serious breach of trust and needs to be handled professionally and discreetly by higher staff.

I would like to explain my limited activity of just 19 minutes. I have recently returned to the community after completing my English studies, which has left me with some free time. I am currently adjusting to this change and exploring how to best utilize my time. Thank you for your understanding.
