INTRODUCTION

Hello I’m anne, my pronouns are she/they/it, and I’m 15! I’ve been on this amino since June of 2021, but It feels like I’ve been here since 2019! I do get over energetic a lot since I have ADHD but I have been able to control a lot more then when I first came here!

WHY I WANNA BE A CURATOR, WHAT CAN I OFFER, WHY SHOULD WE CHOOSE YOU?

I wanna be a curator cause my dream is to be a leader and I figured why not start with this! I also really like helping out here and I figured this is a good opportunity for that! I am part of the editors so I can help with posts and I’m very social which is good for chat rooms! You should choose me because I make friends easily, I’m very social, and I can easily learn from mistakes!

do you have any prior leader or curator experience and have you broken the guidelines?

I haven’t been a curator or leader before, but like I said I am part of the editors! I don’t think I’ve broken a guide here on this amino before, but one time I made a chat that nsfw images were being sent in and I didn’t know so I was warned for a while till I cleared it up!

The only reason my stats are low is because I’m currently on semi-hiatus but I’m going off soon and will become more active as soon as possible!

SCENARIOS!!

1. You are the only one online. There has been a small swarm of trolls that have just entered the community. One is spamming the feed and the other spamming chats with inappropriate content. What would you handle first?

I would first tell the hosts to put VOM on for a bit and then pm them and talk about it, while taking screenshots and sending links to other leaders and curators and having the hosts delete messages, also reporting the trolls to leaders and even team amino if it’s really bad!

2. You have disabled a post for spam. They are not happy with it and are starting to harass you and call you names. How would you handle the situation?

I would first, talk to them about it and see if we can calm things down, or second I would get a leader involved in a small private gc and talk as a group and explain why the post was taken down and what they should do next time!

3. You are moderating a chat/post, and you see an altercation between 2 or more . What’s your course of action?

I would have them either apologize and take a quick break from chatting if it’s not severe. If it is then I would have them figure it out in pms, have them take a break from each other and maybe even get a leader involved!!

4. A member reports another who’s sending sexual/inappropriate things and/or asking for them. They have screenshots where they circled the message with the inappropriate content as their proof. Would you accept such proof? Why? / Why not? What would your course of action be?

-Yes I would take the screenshots because it’s not fully edited they were just trying to show the messages in a clearer way and so background messages weren’t disctracting, however I would ask for a screenshot without the edited stuff to see aswell just in case!

5. What would you do if you had a fight with another curator?

try to resolve it immediately and apologize, and step aside from it and take a break from amino!

6. What would you do if you had a fight with a leader?

immediately step away from amino as they have more experience and power than I ever will and I would probably come back the next 1-2 days!

7. What would you do if a member has been posting about sensitive topics, such as suicide, or depression?

I would take down the posts and talk to them about it! Like tell them what they should to, see if it’s fake, and stuff like that!

8. You get informed that a member of staff is abusing their power. How would you approach this situation?

I would report them to other curators and see their point of view as I would try and do anything extreme until I know the very full story!!

9. You see a chat/post with people saying negative things about staff/a certain staff member what do you do?

I would either disable the post or have the chat put on VOM and pm them to see what’s wrong and tell them not to do it again, and talk to that staff member about it aswell.

10. You see a curator leaking information to a member. What do you do?

I would immediately report them to a leader and try to talk to them as why they were doing that!!
