hey everyone!!
so, i used to be super into reading.
like, i'd finish a 300 page book in one sitting, and i spent as much time as i could reading.
i guess the internet kind of got in the way of that, and before today, the last time i had actually finished a book was last june.
anyway. i've been trying to get back into reading as much as i can, and today, i actually finished a book. i started reading 'aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe' last friday, and i finished it this afternoon. i loved it.
i've been looking absolutely everywhere for lgbt+ book recommendations, and i can't seem to find all that many (maybe i'm just not looking in the right places), so i figured i'd ask here!!
here are a list of books i have read/have on my reading list already:
read:
• aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe
• i'll give you the sun
• fans of the impossible life
• simon vs the homosapiens agenda
• carry on
• the mortal instruments series
• the art of being normal
• you know me well
reading/on my list:
• boy meets boy
• the foxhole court (vol 1 of 'all for the game')
• the raven boys (book one of 'the raven cycle')
• two boys kissing
• will grayson, will grayson
if you guys have any recommendations for books with lgbt+ characters, please let me know!! i'd really appreciate it!!
(also, if anyone is ever looking for recommendations, i'd definitely recommend those on my read list. my favourites of those are probably 'i'll give you the sun', 'carry on', 'you know me well' & 'fans of the impossible life', but they are all super great)

Openly straight by bill koenigsberg, George by Alex Gino, also the Percy Jackson books are known for a lot of lgbtq+ characters, but I only read the first two books and from them i don't know any.
And the infernal devices by Cassandra Clare, may don't have any LGBT character, but if you liked TMI you're gonna love it. And her new book series the dark artifices has a bisexual character and two (I think) that are possible queer, but it'll contain characters and spoilers from TID, so read that first, if you want to. :D
We are the ants- boyfriend commits suicide and kid has button to end world+ diego the pansexyual
Unbecoming- girl kisses best friend and then questions sexuality and comes out after long lost grandma gives her confidence
When the moon was ours- one protag is trans and lesbian + trans main characters, part of it focuses on trans potag being outed
I would really recommend beautiful Music for Ugly children. The main character is FTM and it's really well written
