The Angel of the Sea
Once upon a time...
There was this rhyme..
Not a poem..
But a song..
I couldn't be wrong..
From the sea..it isn't that distant long.
It came to her..
From a distance..
Here I am..
At my lighthouse..
For clothes worn, this angel of the sea..
Is draped in corals and kelp.
I gazed..
And she stared back,
Until she moved and dove back into the water.
A moment later..
I heard a melody..
A song..
It's hers...
She sung for me unexpectedly..
Like she had sensed my broken heart.
Then I was urged to go down.
Walking to the shore..
In search of the song..
The melody..
From the angel of the sea.
But then while doing so..
The angel..
Swam over to me.
With a kiss on the forehead, she greeted me.
My heart leapt for happiness.
She's gentle..
She's gorgeous..
Her eyes shine..
More than the sea..
Like when the bright light of the sun
Is touching it's ocean.
We've been anywhere..
And everywhere..
Deep down the sea..
Together with fishes..
Corals, as I can widely see..
She hold me gently..
And we would go in an empty beach
But one day..
She transformed..
And then..
The water of the Sea...
Acted so violently...
Because she broke the rule..
Of being a mermaid as a whole..
The sea took my angel away..
And I woke up in my dream..
Crying with fey.
What was your inspiration to make this?
I'm frightened of the sea since I've been drowned three times, yet when I was in first grade, I dreamed of meeting a mermaid. When I was in college, I too dreamt of kissing a mermaid. The mermaid poem I wrote was inspired by a long-ago dream in which the beautiful creature was dragged away by the water, and I awoke crying as if I were truly broken.
What is your mermaid like?(Personality, Physicality, ECT.)
She's sweet and speaks in angelic tones. She would laugh at simple jokes and lean on my shoulder after a long day at sea. When she's sad, joyful, or excited, her tails alter. Her tail scales changed colors from rainbows to silver to crystal blue to sapphire green. Her long hair complements her face, which is accented by sea-blue eyes.
Does your mermaid have any friends or family? If so, what are they like?
Her clan is the prime protectors of the sea. Her family, like a vampire, does not age. Even though they should look like a 60 or 70-year-old mermaid, they appear to be in their mid-30s.
Give a little bit of backstory on your mermaid?
The mermaid's name was Kaia, and she was a beautiful young mermaid. Her mother ed away shortly after she was born. She was enthralled by the human world and aspired to be able to blend in with it. Every day at 4 p.m., the mermaid comes to the shore. She's there beside the rocks, hidden from other people's gaze but not from the view of Cor's lighthouse. She is the King of the Sea's only daughter and has three brothers. The mermans, like her father, are stern, but when it comes to her grandma, things are different.
Mermaids, according to Kaia's grandmother, can live for centuries, but their lives are cut short when they try to become human. And that avoiding human is the only way a mermaid can obtain an immortal soul. Unfortunately, Kaia has already developed an interest in a human who lives in the lighthouse. And when she falls in love with a human, all kinds of havoc follows.
