I really want a tattoo one day. I'm looking at getting one within the next two or three years.
Now for the question: Which placement do you think I should choose for my first tattoo?
I have designs for these places and I plan to get them all covered eventually. That is if the first tattoo goes decently.

A little one with long term meaning on shoulder blade would be nice. Dont go overboard. I think it should be the meaning not the ink that really matters, otherwise youll end up hating it eventually.
I have an idea for one already, and tbh I'm lwaning towards the shoulderblade option as well. Look um Moganji if you're curious about the style I'm going for there.
It will have meaning thats for sure, for now all of my planned tattoos do

Wow i like the style, imo tattoos only look nice when theyre subtle and not too many
All I say get it somewhere you can cover it with normal clothes, some jobs won't take you because you have visible tattoos.
Everyones pain tolerance is different. Every artist is different
Some people feel no pain
Some people out
If you want a first tattoo, dont go out on a whim, you'll regret it later. If you want least painful I would go with the upper arm, if you want small you might be able to brave your wrist, my friend was surprised at how it wasn't what she thought.
You don't know until you go.
I've known people having full back and rib tattoos and fall asleep during them
I've seen people get an upper arm tattoo and be screaming in pain
I agree, I probably won't take any risks with it. I can't really judge my own pain tolerance, so I'll just have to hope for the best.
So I'm not sure weither I want to get a less visible but potentially more painful one or a small one on my wrist which is visible.
Your upper arm would probably be the least painful for a first tattoo so I suggest with that area first
I recently just got a tattoo on a whim. It was my first tattoo (on Friday the 13th some shops have a tattoo/peircing sale where you can get tattoos cheeper that day but the catch is it has to be selected off of these pre choosen pictures they've picked out, I'll add a picture of the ones i had to choose from if i can) and it didn't hurt like i expected. It felt like someone was just dragging a sharp needle across your skin. The shading is what kinda hurts a little more cause it's multiple needles so imagine dragging 4-5 sharp needles across your skin. Also really boney areas hurt (wrist, ankle, shoulder, etc.) My artist told me the best places to get a tattoo is a place that you touch alot. Like forearm, knee, upper thighs, hands because they are more likely to be less sensitive like inner thigh armpit area, stomach, groin. It's really up to you to choose and up to your pain tolerance. (I also added a pic of my tattoo that I got)
Ooh thats interesting! I'll that for sure, especially the part about where you touch your skin most. Also I love your tattoo :)

Thank you but also call tattoo places like a couple days before to know if they are doing the Friday the 13th thing ALSO make sure to get there really early I got to my tattoo shop at 6:30 pm and left around 12:50. Due to the cheap tattoos on that day it gets packed so if they open at 3pm be there by like 3 to 330. Cause we sat there for over 6 hours and they nearly opened at 4:00. Also make sure you have plenty of dial gold soap, skin protection ointment, cling wrap, medical tape and unscented lotion for after care. Cause to make the tattoo last you have to take care of it for at least 1-2 weeks depending on the size. My artist calls it the 2 times rule. Wash with warm water then dry and put ointment on 2 times a day for 2 weeks. And when your tattoo gets peely like a sunburn don't pick off the skin. Just use lotion or ointment.
