In my family, disrespecting your parents is considered to be very rude. However, that doesn't mean it isn't ever done. My parents and I sass each other and make fun of each other all the time. It's all in good fun and we understand that, so I wouldn't call that being disrespectful. I used to be mean to my parents. I wasn't horrible, but I went through what I would consider a normal teenager stage. I don't really disrespect my parents anymore now that I'm older. It's nice to have a healthy relationship with your parents.
