I’m back from Vietnam again!
First stop - Hanoi
I stayed in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and it gave me the vibes I love.
My hotel room was on the 6th floor, with a nice little view of the Old Quarter — an area full of history, old buildings and even trees growing from the walls (nature really takes over here haha).
The best part? Hanoi’s cold weather, especially at night. It dropped to around 17°C, and I’d just sit by the roadside, sipping on local craft beer (a bit pricey tho :weary: ), watching locals and tourists by. I really enjoy that kind of simple, peaceful moment.
After the beer, I reward myself with a steaming bowl of pho, I throw in lots of pepper powder, istant happiness!
Only downside? The traffic. Motorcyclists driving like it’s a video game and the non-stop honking... it really messes with the peaceful vibe sometimes.
Da Nang, back for the 'cholesterol' 🫢
I was missing the seafood and cheap beer way too much. I had another seafood feast by the beach and wow... I could literally feel the cholesterol sprinting through my veins LOL, but with the windy beach air, the ice-cold beer, and all that good food? So worth it.
Well...... a 7N6D trip is just that short
On the way home, I booked a private car from the Singapore airport back to my place. Ended up chatting with the driver for almost two hours and what he told me really stuck with me.
He was cheated into working at a scam farm before. Thought it was a good job with fast money, but it turned out to be a nightmare. He told me how he got tricked, how he escaped and what life was like in that place. As he talked, I could see tears forming in his eyes. It hit me hard.
Just a reminder to everyone: Never trust jobs that promise fast and easy money. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Vietnam gave me beautiful memories and a reality check. Can’t wait to go back again, but for now… back to reality :sob:
